After meeting up with Akechi Mitsuhide and his son-in-law inAssassin’s Creed Shadows, they team up with Naoe to put an end to Oda Nobunaga, who’s hinted at being the Horseman. While talking to Ise Sadaoki, he reveals the plan to Naoe and how she’ll arrive inside the Honnoji Temple, concealed in a delivery cart, ahead of the attack. However, for this plan to succeed, players must find important papers allowing the cart to enter the temple,starting the Belly of the Beast questinAC Shadows.
Meeting Ise Sadaoki In Kyoto
Players will start the Belly of the Beast quest immediatelyafter meeting Akechi Mitsuhidein the Friend of my Enemy quest inAssassin’s Creed Shadows. Once the quest is started, players will need to meet up with Ise Sadaoki in Kyoto. Thankfully, there aren’t any clues involved for this part of the quest, as you’ll simply find Lord Sadaoki under a bridge near Kyoto.
After talking to Ise Sadaoki, he’ll reveal the plan to infiltrate Honnoji Temple by concealing Naoe in a delivery cart. However,Naoe must retrieve confidential papersfor the cart to gain entry into the guarded temple.
Finding the Papers in the Belly of the Beast Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The next part of the Belly of the Beast quest will send Naoe on a mission to find those papers in Kyoto. Finding the papers is a bit tricky as Kyoto is a vast city, and players will need to firstride through its streets to clear some of the fog of waroff the map. This will help players discover some locations within the town to reach the areas indicated in the clues.
One of the clues indicates that thepapers can be found west of Nanban Temple. Simply head slightly west of the temple to discover an enemy hideout that’s heavily guarded. Enter the compound and stay on the roofs of the houses whilescanning the area with Eagle Visionto find the papers inside.
Players willfind the papers inside one of the bigger buildingsin the compound. Simply enter the building and stealthily assassinate one of the enemies looking over the papers. Once the coast is clear, take the papers and return to Ise Sadaoki.
Giving the Papers to Ise Sadaoki
After returning to Ise Sadaoki, he’ll be angry to witness how the person Lord Nobunaga entrusted the papers to had failed in their duty to guard them. Regardless, he’ll praise Naoe for her skills and will express resentment against Oda Nobunaga. After the conversation concludes, the Belly of the Beast quest will be marked as completed inAssassin’s Creed Shadows.
