While most of it is accessible by both Naoe and Yasuke, the two protagonists of the game, Hidden Trails are special activities that are exclusive to Naoe.Similar to Kuji-Kiri, this side activity is not available for Yasuke.

What Are Hidden Trails in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?
Hidden Trails are optional parkour challengesavailable only for Naoe. These activities can be completed without any combat, making it easy for players to nab them early on in their playthrough. Each Hidden Trail rewards you with:
There are 10 Hidden Trails spread out across the regions inAssassin’s Creed Shadows. While exploring, they initially appear as Undiscovered Locations marked with a white question mark onyour Compass and Map. Once you get close, the symbol changes to orange and reveals the name of the specific Hidden Trail.
To complete a Hidden Trail, all you need to do is follow the yellow paint marks and reach the reward chest at the end.
