There are five fishing-related side missions inMonster Hunter Wilds, all of which are handed out by Kanya at the Scarlet Forest base camp. Each one becomes available at different points in the story, with players needing to finishthe Lurking Shadows section of Chapter 4to unlock the final one.
Each one of Kanya’s fishing missions inMonster Hunter Wildshas players catch a single fish, although some of them are much more difficult to reel in than others. Knowing where to look for each fish can save players a bunch of time, as too can understanding which bait or lure to use to attract it.

- The Goliath Squid prefers the Tentacle Jig, but as players won’t have it at this point, they’ll need to use the Tuff Joint Bait if they want tocatch a Goliath Squidas part of the Catch of a Lifetime side mission.
