The Oven inHello Kitty Island Adventureis one of several cooking stations that you can use to make gifts for your friends. You’ll unlock this cooking station very early in yourIsland Adventureplaythrough. Despite this, it may be some time before you can start using the Oven to its full potential. You can upgrade it by befriending Hello Kitty and raising her friendship level. Doing so will also unlock her Companion Ability, which is extremely useful for when you have to use the Oven to make 3-heart gifts.

Where to Find Flour
You’ll unlock theOvenimmediately after you land on Seaside Resort. Until you’re able to craft your own Oven, you’ll have to use the one inHello Kitty’s Cafe.Like any other Cooking Station, the Oven needs abase ingredientthat is required for cooking any Oven-based recipe. For the Oven, you’ll needFlour.
There’s a free bag of Flour on the shelf next to the Oven in Hello Kitty’s Cafe. Otherwise, you’re able to get bags of Flour by giving gifts toMy Melody. In fact, My Melody will be your main source for Flour, so you should get in the habit of giving her gifts three times a day.
You won’t be able to cook with three ingredients until you become better friends with Hello Kitty. Reachlevel 15 with Hello Kittyto unlock the Oven Station Upgrade. This is highly recommended so you can start baking the Red Bow Apple Pie, which is Hello Kitty’smost-liked/3-heart gift.
Hello Kitty’s Sous Chef Ability
If you have Hello Kitty as yourCompanion, you can unlock herSous ChefAbility atlevel 2. Sous Chef gives Hello Kitty a chance of baking an additional food item when you cook. There are four levels of Sous Chef, so here’s how to get them:
At Sous Chef Level 4, Hello Kitty will always cook the same amount of meals you make. For example, if you makex3 Mama’s Puddingusing the Ice Cream machine (Dessert Boat), she’ll make x3 Mama’s Pudding as well, totaling to x6 Mama’s Pudding from just one cooking session. This is extremely useful when you want to make multiples of the same food and save on ingredients.

How to Unlock Baking Recipes
As mentioned earlier, you’ll start off being able to cook with two ingredients until you get the Station Upgrade. This includes the Flour and an ingredient of your choice. Raise Hello Kitty’s friendship to level 15to unlock more recipes.
Recipes can be found hidden in chests or unlocked by leveling up everyone’s friendship. However, if you already know the proper ingredients, you can go ahead and make it even though you don’t have the physical recipe. Doing this will then add the meal to your cookbook.
