On the very same day, the title will be going free-to-play for 24 hours due toCall of Duty: Warzone​​​​​'s lengthy server downtime. It’s currently unclear exactly what content fans will be able to play during the free trial period, but Activision has said the “entire Season 3 premium game” will be accessible, suggesting there will be no limit to which maps or modes will be available.

Black Ops 6 Fans Aren’t Happy With Firing Range Remaster

With the launch of Season 3 on April 2,Call of Duty: Black Ops 6players will be able to jump back into Firing Range. The fan-favorite multiplayer map hasn’t been seen in a mainlineCall of Dutytitle since 2018’sBlack Ops 4, but its return has left a sour taste in many players' mouths as fans are already blasting the remaster as “boring” and “bland.” In response to a post by ModernWarzone,Call of Dutyleaker TheGhostOfHope said that all of the map’s “aura” is gone, while content creator DannyonPC said the map “looks worse.” Plenty of other users seem to agree, asone Twitter usereven labeled it as the “worst remaster inCall of Dutyhistory.”

Firing Range is one of the threenew maps coming toBlack Ops 6with the launch of Season 3, with two more also joining the line-up with the game’s mid-season update. Fans will be able to jump into Barrage, a new 6v6 multiplayer map set in 1968 Vietnam surrounding one Summit Watch at the front lines of the battle, and Nomad, a small-scale 6v6 and 2v2 map set in the ruins of a fortified settlement in Afghanistan. The release date forBlack Ops 6’s Season 3 Reloaded update is currently unconfirmed, but Activision has revealed Haven and Signal will be released alongside the patch, as well as a new Nuketown variant known as Blazetown.

Fans might not be happy with the remastered version of Firing Range, but there’s plenty more content for players to check out with the upcoming season.
