Players can find some consumables throughout the world ofAtomfall, but the most reliable way to get buffs, status effect cures, and other consumables is to use the crafting system. Youmust collect or trade for materialsand ingredients to craft consumables, and one of the most important things to collect is Herbs.
Herb is used for all types of consumables, but to find Herb,Atomfallplayers will have to keep a keen eye out for itthroughout all of the game’s five zones. Follow this guide to learn what Herb is used for, how to find Herb, and locations where you can farm Herb inAtomfall.
What Are Herbs Used For In Atomfall?
InAtomfall, Herb is used as a crafting material in a variety of consumables, but it’sespecially important for the Strange Tonic. Also called Mother Jago’s Tonic, this consumable can only be crafted if you have5x Herbin addition to a host of other ingredients. The Strange Tonic grants resistance to Infection, which isrequired to survive dangerous Infection sporesthat are common in several main locations.
It canalso be used to craft consumables like the Combat Stim, Burn Salve, Radiation Resistance, and Antidote(which is used to counteract Poison).
It’s a good idea to farm Herbs inAtomfallso that you will always be able to craft a Strange Tonic or other cure for status effects as needed.
The Combat Stim is handy, but unless you playAtomfallexclusively with a melee weapon, it’s not worth the materials.
Where To Find & Farm Herbs In Atomfall
To farm Herbs,Atomfallplayers mustkeep an eye out for clusters of tall purple flowers. There are some flowers with long, thin leaves that are purple in color, but these are just environmental scenery objects. TheHerb plant looks like an actively flowering, tall bunch of daisies.
Herb can be found in just about every region of the game no matterwhich directionAtomfallplayers go first– includingsome in the final, underground area. But this material is most commonly found in Wyndham Village, Slatten Dale, and Casterfell Woods (in that order).
You can also find some Herbs as you descend further into the underground areas of the game. Without spoiling too many details, once you are in the final area andclose to beating the game(which will be obvious), look for an infected giant plant enemy, squeeze past a storage container, then double back to reach a ledge above the hostile plant for a whopping 6x Herb spawns.
Herb spawn locations reset after a certain amount of time in-game, so be sure to return to any Herb spawn hotspots you discover after a few hours to harvest another haul of materials.
