There are all kinds of weirdos hanging out in the mild-mannered British apocalypse ofAtomfall. This is especially true of the people living in Casterfell Woods, which is home to druids, blue-skinned traders, and the mysterious Mother Jago. But arguably the strangest person of all in Casterwood Woods is the eccentric and oblivious Prudence Rook.
Even though she should be focused on surviving, Prudence is more concerned about her garden as well as the whereabouts of her lost butler, Jenks. So, to help this confused woman, this guide will show how to find Jenks and help Miss Prudence.
Where To Find Datlow Hall Grounds In Atomfall
Prudence Rook lives on a large estate known asDatlow Hall, which is found in Casterfell Woods at26.2 E, 85.4 N on the map. Upon reaching this mansion, the player will notice that there are several tripwire traps set up around the area. As long as theDisarm Traps skillhas been unlocked in the Skills menu, this shouldn’t be a problem. Otherwise, the player will have to cautiously jump over or avoid these wires.
The front entrance will be barred shut, so to get inside the manor, players will need to enter through one of the side entrances. In the house will be Prudence Rook, a strange woman who is seemingly unaware of the horrors happening outside. She’ll mention that her sister, Charity, is off doing chores and preparing to entertain a group of scientists. She’ll also mention that her butler, Jenks, hasn’t been seen in some time and had mentioned thathe was going to the dam to the northwest. So, it’s time to go find Jenks.
In the room where Prudence Rook is first met, there’s a ladder leading to an upper level. By going up the ladder and then heading over to the right, the player can find a comic book collectible called “Rick Random In Sabotage From Space.”
Where To Find Jenks In Atomfall
The Casterfell Dam can be found at the coordinates 20.9 E, 90.9 N on the map. It’s a location filled with plenty of loot and materials, although it’s also typically swarming with roaming gangs of druids, so be prepared to deal with them. While wandering around this place, the player will eventually finda corpse behind the main facility of the dam that just so happens to be Jenks.
The exact location where he can be found is at the coordinates20.2, 90.4 N on the map.
Upon the loot found on his body will be a note titled “Send Aid To Datlow Hall.” This note will reveal that Prudence’s sister Charity was quite ill, and that the scientists that they’d been hosting had done nothing to help them. With this new information, it’s time to return to Datlow Hall and speak with Prudence.
Where To Find Charity Rook In Atomfall
After informing Prudence of Jenks' fate, she’ll misunderstand the situation and think that her butler quit. She’ll then assume that the player is Jenks' replacement and hand you theConservatory Key. Previously, she had ominously warned against going into the conservatory, so it’s time to go inside.
If the player finds Jenks' body first and then goes to Prudence, they can inform her of Jenks' death right when they first meet her.
The conservatory entrance is located outside on the eastern side of the house.Use the Conservatory Key to open up the door, and the player will discover a skeleton with a rusty M. 1911 pistol and a note titled “I Hear The Voice” next to it. It’s not too hard to piece together what happened here, as the skeleton belongs to Charity and the note explains that she was infected with the disease that’s spread across the world ofAtomfall.
If the player continues to loot the conservatory, they’ll find various crafting materials and bits of ammo along with the real prize: theStealth Manual, which, when used, will unlock additional skills to learn that will enhance the player’s stealth abilities.
From here, the Datlow Hall Lead is all but resolved, but players can go back inside to inform Prudence of her sister’s fate. If they choose to do so, her mind will finally snap, and she’ll leave the mansion to tend to the flowers in the garden while believing that she is Charity now. So perhaps it’s best to just let her be.
