InAtomfall, players have the option to kill every single major NPC in the game. No one is spared fromthe player character’s neck-snapping prowess, but many players are wondering what happens if you kill everyone inAtomfall, and whether killing everyone locks you out of an ending.

There are almost two dozen named NPCs that players can kill inAtomfall, each of which would haveoffered you one (or more) Leadsif left alive – but there are reasons to kill named NPCs. This guide explains what happens when every major NPC is dead inAtomfall, and includes a full list of all named characters who are just as mortal, and killable, as the random Druids, Protocol Soldiers, and Outlaws that roam these green and unpleasant lands.

All Atomfall NPCs You Can Kill

If youkill any of the game’s eighteen named characters, they will be dead for the rest of your playthrough, and their body will even disappear after some time (if fully looted). If you killAtomfallNPCs, you will usually get unique items from their corpse that you may have received had youcompleted requests and Leads for them– including keys, keycards, unique intel, special weapons, and more.

Think carefullybefore you decide to go about breaking these characters' necks, asyou won’t be able to bring them back to lifeunless you reload a previous save:

You can, of course, kill unnamed NPCs like the Protocol Soldiers, Druids, Outlaws, and other enemies throughout the game. Butif the character is not named, they will respawn after some time. Killing unnamed, generic enemies inAtomfalldoes not remove them permanently from the game, unlike, say,Avowed.

If you kill one Protocol Soldier in Wyndham Village and get the whole force to descend down upon you, you’ll be fighting through waves of infinitely-respawning soldiers until you escape or die.

What Happens If You Kill Everyone In Atomfall?

You Can Still Finish The Game, But At What Cost?

There is one major character inAtomfallthat players can’t kill. In fact, you’re able to never meet this character in person, and the identity of this character is left a mystery for much of the game. If you kill everyone inAtomfall, the Voice On The Telephone will still be able to offer you escapefrom the Quarantine Zone.

That’s right – even if every single other major player in theAtomfallstory is dead, and you were personally responsible for their deaths, the Voice On The Phone will still work with you. If you kill everyAtomfallcharacter, you might not have as many Leads to follow, nor will you be able to access any ending aside from the Voice On The Phone’s escape plan.

But killing everyone is, technically, the fastest way to complete the game – you’ll just miss out on a lot of narrative, and you might even feel bad for killing some of these well-fleshed-out, realistic, and often kind characters (even if they are Bri*ish).
