Barcarola is essentially your DPS for Star Afflatus teams. Every time she uses her Basic Attack or Skill, she builds up her Impromptu Incantation attacks for that turn. This attack also increases its damage by 20% if three or more teammates are under theQuartetstatus. It not only buffs allies' attacks, but also buffs Barcarola’s attacks by up to 15% depending on how many teammates are affected by the Quartet.

With Impromptu Incantation, Barcarola can deal Mental damage to a random enemy, and additional Mental damage based on the Inspiration stacks. Inspiration, on the other hand, has a more give-and-take situation. Inspiration stacks increase every time Eureka is used. Every Inspiration stack increases Impromptu Incantation, and that’s something you need to ensure Barcarola is achieving. Imagine that the Impromptu Incantation is another player on the field that deals damage.
Best Psychubes For Barcarola In Reverse: 1999

It gives her more Inspiration, which in turn fuels her Impromptu Incantation, and helps her deal more damage in the fight. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of options players can choose from when it comes to Psychubes for Barcarola, because her kit is so niche. Best Resonance Build For Barcarola In Reverse: 1999
Like most DPSReverse: 1999characters, putting anATK-centered Resonance build on Barcarolais the best possible option. If you want, you may start off with a CRIT build, but then you’ll have to change it to an ATK one since her Insight III already covers any CRIT shortage she has on Impromptu Incantation. You also need to verify herfrequency is Genuinity and focus on getting Incantation Might sub stats.
Every other teammate needs to share a similar Resonance build, as it contributes to Barcarola’s Impromptu Incantation.
Best Team Compositions For Barcarola In Reverse: 1999
In an ideal world, Barcarola may be the perfect DPS withSupport-like features. However, her unique mechanics limit her team compositions inReverse: 1999. Since she needs players that build her Inspiration mechanic, it can be a little hard to find ideal teammates.
Barcarola + Voyager + Flutterpage + Ms. New Babel
This is a great starter team for Barcarola, but to capitalize on her damage, you need to have unlockedVoyager’s Euphoria. You can use her without it, but there is quite a noticeable change in damage output. Voyager and Barcarola also synergize very well since she helps build her Inspiration stacks. Flutterpage is there for passive damage, buffs, and automatic Eureka consumption. Ms. New Babel is your sustain, sinceevery Impromptu team will be AP hungry.
Barcarola + Matilda + Ezra +Tooth Fairy
This team is another option if you don’t have Voyager. Matilda is basically a mini Barcarola who can buff Impromptu Incantations Crit Rate and Crit DMG. However, she too needs to have her Euphoria unlocked. Ezra is great for generating Eureka for Inspiration stacks, and Tooth Fairy is one of the best healers in the game.
Barcarola + Voyager + Aleph + Medicine Pocket
An ideal Barcarola team always has to have Voyager (Euphoria) in it. Their synergy is too good not to use and, quite frankly, no one else in the game synergizes as well with Barcarola. Aleph is also a great Sub-DPS/ Support for her as well, with his Ultimate Impromptu boost.(Aleph will be releasing in Version 2.6, so it is advised to plan your teams according to this.)If you don’t have Aleph, you can use Flutterpage, but that’s the only substitute you have until his banner drops. Medicine Pocket is also there as a sustain, but remember that he too needs to unlock his Euphoria.If you don’t have him, Tooth Fairy, Fatutu, or Ms. New Babel is fine.
