Although Battlefield Labs, in its current form, would only cover a limited pool of fans in select regions, EA has previously confirmed its plan to expand the program to tens of thousands of users across new regions in successive playtests. Such a widespread collaboration with interested players could only help the devs align their vision for the nextBattlefieldcloser to fans' expectations. In turn, this may help ensure EA doesn’t see a repeat ofwhat happened withBattlefield 2042when it rolls out the next installment in the series.

With theBattlefieldplaytests set to unfold very soon, it is fair to expect more relevant information to surface in the coming days. Once the EA devs soak in the feedback from these beta sessions, there may also be an announcement about thework-in-progressBattlefieldtitle, which is expected to roll out in fiscal year 2026 per the gaming giant’s recent earnings call.
