The Charge Blade is the most technical of weapon types inMonster Hunter Wilds, and while it can be hard and confusing to use, players who master the ins and outs of its moveset will be rewarded with a weapon capable of outputting massive DPS.
The following is an Elemental Charge Blade build designed for players who have already gonebeyond HR41 inMH Wilds, though it can still guide lower-ranked players on the types of skills they’ll want to get for their weapon.
Endgame Elemental Charge Blade Build for MH Wilds
This build focuses on maximizing the player’s DPS output by including two of the strongest damage-based armor skills in the game:Weakness Exploitand Agitator. By combining these in one armor setup along with the Coalescence skill, players will be able to shred monsters with Savage Axe and phial explosions.
Quick Sheathe 1 (3x)
Sane Jewel 1 (2x)
Talisman
Exploit Charm 2
Your total armor skills (not including your weapon) should look like the following:
Weapon Choice
An R8 Artian Charge Blade with multiple Attack infusionsand bonuseswill outperform the ones made out of monster materials. However, since crafting one of these takes time, we recommendusing an R8 version of whatever element your targeted monster is weak against.
When picking Weapon Decorations, prioritizeRapid Morph 3 for faster transitions between sword and axe modes. Then, getHandicraft and Attack Boost skills. If you have dual-skill decorations, try to squeeze in the Load Shells and Offensive Guard skills too for easier phial management and more damage respectively.
Impact vs Elemental Charge Blade
When picking a Charge Blade, it’s important to consider whether it uses Impact or Elemental Phials.
Many players prefer Impact over Elemental since the KO effect creates more windows of opportunity for them to deal damage. Elemental Phials aren’t necessarily bad, and a good player can score very fast clear times using an Elemental CB, but these require more skill and knowledge to use effectively. Also, since monsters havedifferent elemental weaknesses, players will need multiple Elemental Charge Blades to cover the entire bestiary.
