Although there are better status ailments around inMonster Hunter Wilds, Blast is another great option for players, especially as doing enough Blast damage to a monster will cause an explosion to an unbroken part of a monster, making it also a great choice for those looking to weaken a foe.

With Gravordius having the highest attack damage but also an incredibly appalling affinity which causes players to lose some of that damage, players wishing to increase their critical strike should craft the Leumundsgift Insect Glaive instead.

The Queen Regalia Insect Glaive is an end-game option that is perfect for not only attacking various monsters but also has anincredibly high amount of poison damagethat is only improved by its skills.
Unlike many of the glaives mentioned, Queen Regalia comes with the two skills of Poison Duration Up, which makes the effects of poison last longer, and Critical Status to greatly improve the effects of poison damage when hitting a monster with a critical strike. Since this Insect Glaive has a positive affinity, it is far more likely to critical strike and make the most of this skill.
2Lala Stromatopelm
Paralyze A Monster Repeatedly
Like sleep, Paralysis is another status ailment that has been crowned one of the best inMonster Hunter Wilds. Similarly to the ailment previously mentioned, when hitting a monster multiple times with the Lala Stromatopelm will eventually cause the monster to become paralyzed.
During this moment, the monster is open to all sorts of attacks, which allows the player to combine getting this effect on monsters while also performing some harder attack combos of the Insect Glaive. Players also get a small boost to the amount of paralysis they do with this glaive due to the critical status effect skill.
Artian Weaponry Adds More Customization
Out of all the available Insect Glaives inMonster Hunter Wilds, by far the best that every player should work towards is creating the rank 8 Artian Insect Glaive known as the Diprielcha. This is one of the greatest for players to work towards due to how highly customizable it is.
