BLEACHanime just released a special music video collaboration to commemoratethe 20th anniversary ofBLEACHand the reunion of Aqua Timez. Featuring the band’s brand-new song"OLDROSE", the video serves as a heartfelt tribute to their shared legacy. Combining new animation with nostalgic scenes from the anime, the MV celebrates nearly two decades of storytelling and musical collaboration.
This latest release is especially significant for fans of both the anime and the band, as Aqua Timez has returned to the spotlight after an almost six-year-long hiatus.
BLEACH, created by Tite Kubo, follows the story of Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who inadvertently becomes a Soul Reaper tasked with protecting the living world from malicious spirits known as Hollows. Since its manga debut in 2001 and anime premiere in 2004, the series has become one of the most iconic titles in the shonen genre.
The anime initially concluded in 2012, leaving fans longing for the adaptation of its final arc. That wish was fulfilled in 2022 with the launch ofBLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW). Following their disbandment in 2018, the members of Aqua Timez surprised fans with the announcement of their reunion in 2024. This comeback coincides withBLEACH’s 20th anniversary the same year, making the release of"OLDROSE"even more meaningful.
