WithVerdansk’s return just one week away, Activision has confirmed via theCall of Dutywebsitethat it will be hosting an in-game event called Return to Verdansk. The event will feature “incredible rewards” forCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers to obtain, but what these rewards are remainsunclear. AsSeason 3 ofCall of Dutyis set to begin next week, Activision will likely share a new blog post in the coming days, breaking down the new season and revealing more details on the recently announced Return to Verdansk event.

Earlier this week, Activision confirmed thatBeenox, one ofCall of Duty’s support studios, is developing Verdansk for its Season 3 return. In a short video, the development studio deep-dived into themassive improvements andchanges being made to Verdansk forCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 3. Although the map will stay faithful to the original 2020 version, Beenox has rebuilt Verdansk from the ground up with stunning new textures and improved visuals. The studio has also made use of the latest technology to allow for better quality and rendering when it comes to foliage around the map.

While most fans are simply eager to jump back intoWarzone’s very first Battle Royale map once again, Activision clearly has big plans for the launch of Season 3 as a plethora ofModern Warfare​​​​​​weapons and operatorsare supposedly returning with the new season. While it has yet to be made official, a recent video fromCall of Duty: Warzonedid seemingly hint at the return of the AMAX and Kilo 141. Leakers and insiders have also claimed that other weapons, such as the Grau 5.56 and HDR, will also be returning alongside Roze, a controversial operator that initially required multiple nerfs due to visibility issues.
