The developers have been quick to respond to player criticism, promising that upcoming patches would fix many of the title’s early issues. The newest update is here for players on most systems, bringing with it some much-needed fixes and adding more polish to the turn-based strategy game.

In a newSteampost, Firaxis Games detailed what players can expect to find inCivilization 7Update 1.1.1, which is now live for all platforms except for Nintendo Switch. Players wanting to speed their game up can now utilize the Quick Move toggle, which will transport units to their destination immediately. Settlements and commanders can now be renamed, and those eager to find the perfect first settlement can restart the game with the same leader and civ selections by simply clicking a button. A notification will appear when districts are being attacked, and a Standard start position has been added, which is more akin to what players found inCivilization 6. Additionally, when making purchases, the city and town panel will now stay open. Update 1.1.1 also adds Bulgaria as a new civ, along with Nepal and the new leader Simón Bolívar for those withthe Crossroads of the World Collection DLC.

Earlier in March,Civilization 7’s 1.1.0 updateadded the Bermuda Triangle as a Natural Wonder for all players and further refined the game’s Cultural Legacy Path. Those with the Crossroads of the World DLC also gained access to Great Britain and Carthage, along with four more Natural Wonders: Machapurchare, Mount Fuji, Vinicunca, and Vihren.

While the developers are continuing to polish the game, many players remain underwhelmed with the newest entry to the franchise. SomeCiv 7players on PlayStation have received refundsdue to the game’s frequent crashes, and despite being over eight years old,Civilization 6still boasts higher concurrent player counts on Steam.
