A new weekly event has just dropped inClash Royale, called Hunter Evolution Draft. As the name suggests, it’s a draft-style event offering the recently added Hunter Evo card. While the Hunter has been part of the game for a long time, its evolution version was newly introduced in the Season 69 update.
After two cycles, you’ll be able to use Hunter’s special ability, which traps enemies with a net gun.Like all previous events, this one will also run for seven days(March 3 – March 10), giving you a good chance to earn plenty of seasonal tokens and exchange them for exciting rewards. Clash Royale’s Hunter Evolution Draft Event, Explained
InClash Royale’sHunter Evolution Draft, there areno fixed cards.You and your opponent must eachpick four cardsfrom two given options. The card you don’t choose goes to your opponent, and vice versa, meaning you’ll only know half of both decks at the start of the match. If you get the option to pick Evolved Hunter, ensure to take it. Since the event revolves around this newly evolved card, choosing it gives you a better chance to test its ability and gain an edge.
How to Use Hunter and Its Evolution
Hunter is an Epic troop that charges toward enemies, blasting multiple fireballs at anything in his way. During the event, you’ll use him twice before his Evolution activates. To get the most out of Hunter in the event arena,place him in front of heavy unitsorlow-HP swarms, whether on the ground or in the air. Since he only shoots when he’s close,summon a support troop alongside himto help minimize damage while he does his job.
Once Hunter evolves in the Hunter Evolution Draft Event, his stats stay the same (like all Evo cards), but he gains a unique attack—hethrows a net at a nearby enemy(both ground and air), trapping them in place so he can unload shotgun blasts. Since thenet only lasts four seconds, place him close to enemies to ensure he gets his shots in before it wears off. After the net disappears, Hunter Evo will throw another trap and keep firing at the locked target until he’s taken down.
Both Hunter and his Evoform have 884 HPandcost four Elixir, makinghim a solid mid-cost option. However, he’s weak againstlong-range enemies like Electro Wizard, Princess, Baby Dragon, and Musketeer, since they can chip away at him from a distance. To keep him safe, pair him with support troops like Skeleton Army, Royal Recruits, or a tank.
If you don’t get Evolved Hunter while making your deck, prioritize long-range troops andavoid giving your opponent Legendary troops. Hunter is especially weak againstPrince, so if you get the option, choose Prince to counter him.
