New FBC: Firebreak Trailer Showcases ‘Paper Chase’ Mission

FBC: Firebreakwill have a mission-based structure, tasking players with teaming up in order to tackle dangerous “Jobs” in the game’s universe. One of these missions, Paper Chase, is featured in the game’s latest trailer, which premiered alongside its release window announcement. The main objective of Paper Chase is to contain a rogue sticky note outbreak in the Executive Sector ofControl’s Oldest House. While the premise sounds silly, the situation quickly develops into a full-fledged crisis, requiring players to take on waves of enemies across three zones before facing a taxing boss battle.

FBC: Firebreak Will Feature Playstyle-Defining Crisis Kits

Ahead of every mission, players will have to choose a loadout—or Crisis Kit, in the game’s jargon. Every Crisis Kit features unique equipment and reality-bending powers defining one’s playstyle. Remedy has so far confirmed three such loadouts: a melee-focused Fix Kit, an electricity-based Jump Kit, and a water-themed Splash Kit. AlthoughFBC: Firebreakplayers won’t have the incredible powers of Jesse Fadenat their disposal, the co-op shooter’s Crisis Kits still promise to offer decent variety conducive to multiple playstyles.

Apart from revealing the game’s release window and sharing its March 20 trailer, Remedy today also announced a community AMA that it will host on theFBC: FirebreakSteam page. The event, scheduled to kick off at 9am PST / 5pm GMT on March 31, will provide fans with a chance to ask the developer questions about the upcoming game. Given how the first-person shooter is now officially targeting a summer 2025 launch, its release date announcement seems likely to materialize sometime this spring.
