On March 10,Core Keeperlaunched its biggest update so far. TitledBags & Blasts, the patch adds a ton of new gameplay features and content to the game. One of the highlights is the addition of Nimruza, the Queen of the Burrowed Sands, considered one of the game’s largest bosses. She can be found in the Desert of Beginnings biome, alongside new enemies and variations of existing ones that appear in Nimruza’s dungeon. The desert biome also received a new sub-biome called Oasis. Additionally, the game now features 32 new pieces of equipment, including accessories, weapons, andunique armor sets forCore Keeper.

Living up to its name, Bags & Blasts adds four new bombs and a new type of throwable consumable in the form of grenades. The update introduces a new Explosive skill tree with eight new skills to encourage the use of these items. For those who enjoy tending to their animals,Core Keeper’s update added a new cattlecalled Drohmble, found in the Desert of Beginnings biome. There’s also a new pet called the Arcane Symbiote, along with a change to the pet system that makes them more aggressive and prompts them to actively pursue enemies.

The developers addressed one of the most sought-after player requests regarding inventory management, which often gets cluttered after collecting resources and treasures. Their solution was introducing a pouch system, which provided dedicated storage space for resources like ores and seeds separate from the main inventory. This reduces clutter and frees up slots for collecting other items, meaning players no longer have to rely solely onCore Keeper’s treasure cheststo store their belongings.

Finally, the Bags & Blasts update also introduces new tutorial tooltips for beginners, adjustments to the Mage and Warlock playstyles, and an extensive bug fix pass. The developers promise even more significant updates forCore Keeperin the future, stating that these are just the first based on community feedback.
