This article contains spoilers from Demon Slayer’s Final Arc.
Summary
Demon Slayeris edging closer to adapting the final arc every year, and finally, the time is here. The final arc ofDemon Slayeris full of incredible action, and with that, many characters are involved in combat here, including the most powerful demons and the Hashira.
7Kanao Tsuyuri
Shinobu’s Adoptive Sister
Kanao is the adoptive sister of both Shinobu and Kanae. She played a major role in the final arc ofDemon Slayer. To start off, she was a major fighter against the Upper Rank 2 Doma who had claimed the lives of both of her sisters. Alongside Inosuke, she finally beheaded him.
Her role doesn’t end here as she is the one who injected Tanjiro with Shinobu’s human conversion drug and prevented Muzan’s reign from starting anew.
6Gyomei Himejima
The Stone Hashira
Gyomei, being the oldest and most experienced Hashira, had a huge role to play inDemon Slayer’sfinal arc. With the help of Sanemi, Muichiro, and Genya, they were all able to take down the biggest threat after Muzan, Kokushibo, the Upper Rank 1 Demon. That demon was so resilient he was even able to regenerate his own head.
Gyomei, however, was not finished just yet. He then fought Muzan. His assistance in this fight was essential as the strongest Hashira, and he even saved some of his companions. Gyomei died after Muzan was defeated as his mark took a toll on him.
5Tanjiro Kamado
The Protagonist of the Series
Tanjiro fought valiantly alongside the Hashiraagainst the demons in the final arc. His role started against Akaza with the help of Giyu, but he did not even need to finish this fight.
When the Hashira were finally able to move against Muzan, he was one of the best fighters and aided the Hashira greatly, especially with his use of Sun Breathing. After Muzan was taken down, Tanjiro was at the center as he became a demon and lost control. With Kanao and Nezuko’s help, however, he was able to regain semblance.
4Nakime
The New Upper Rank 4
One character that might get overlooked is Nakime. Her role in the final arc ofDemon Slayeris essential, as her Blood Demon Art is what creates and controls the Infinity Castle where the battle started. As long as Nakime was in control, the demons had a huge advantage, as she could teleport anyone anywhere in the castle.
Her staying alive also means that Muzan had cover from the sun and couldn’t be defeated. So, as long as she stood, Muzan was immune to the sun. Muzan killed her himself after Yushiro took control of her, destroying the Infinity Castle.
3Shinobu Kocho
The Insect Hashira
Shinobu Kocho was possibly the most pivotal member of the Hashiraand played a major role in the fall of Muzan, despite it being indirect, as she did not join the fight against the Demon King. Shinobu Kocho worked with Tamayo to develop the Anti Kibutsuji drug seen in action against Muzan. Without this drug, the fight against Muzan would have resulted in the defeat of the Demon Slayers.
Besides that, Shinobu was also the reason the Upper Rank 2 Demon, Doma went down. If any of the Upper-Rank Demons were left to fight, that would have caused problems for the Hashira.
2Lady Tamayo
The Reason Demon Slayers Defeated Muzan
Earlier in Demon Slayer, before the start of the final arc,Lady Tamayo was the one who injected Muzan with a drugthat would allow theDemon Slayersto stall him until sunrise. Muzan only realized way later the full extent of the power of the drug he was injected with by Tamayo, as it stopped him from splitting himself to escape his doom.
Tamayo’s role at the end ofDemon Slayercannot be underestimated as, without her, the Hashira and the others had no chance of winning this battle.
1Muzan
The Demon King Himself
Undoubtedly, the most important character in the final arc ofDemon Slayeris none other thanthe Demon King himself, Muzan. The entire arc revolves around taking him down once and for all. His power is like nothing seen before in Demon Slayer, and his only true rivals in this world are Yoriichi and the Sun itself.
The Hashira and otherDemon Slayerswere unable to kill him on their own and had to wait until sunrise, as, even if he was beheaded, he could regenerate. Muzan was a force to be reckoned with and took down with him countless Demon Slayers, including some members of the Hashira. His death marked a new beginning for humanity in Demon Slayer.
