The trailer didn’t really specify what this mysteryDigimonproject is supposed to be, but the presence of a mobile phone and the fact that it was released during this weekend’s Bandai Card Games Fest seems to suggest that this might be a mobile gamesimilar toPokemon TCG Pocket. As its name suggests,Pokemon TCG Pocketis a free-to-play mobile title that allows players to collect and tradePokemoncards and battle against other users online.
So far,Pokemon TCG Pockethas been incredibly successful since it launched in October 2024, with the game reportedly pulling in around $3 million a day in revenue since its initial release. Now it seems like the companies behindDigimonare looking to replicate this with their own version of the mobile title usingDigimon’s own trading card game, though there won’t be a concrete confirmation until Digimon Con on March 20.
