One Piece Animator Sets High Expectations

As many fans know, theOne Pieceanime has been on break for a while now, about 6 months, to be precise. Since the break started, fans have been eagerly awaiting the return, which is happening very soon now.

Indeed, the One Piece anime is returning in about a week now, on April 5th, 2025. Not only that, but fans will also be getting back-to-back episodes — the first on the 5th April, and the second on the 6th. This is very exciting, and fans should definitely keep their expectations high. A trailer for the return of One Piece’s Egghead arc was released recently, and fans can check it out here on YouTube:

With all that said, it’s always great to hear from people in the industry, and specifically people involved in the production of theOne Pieceanime. Recently on Twitter, an animator who has previously worked onOne Piece, by the name Dong Chang, shared a few information about the upcoming episodes:

“I saw a closed screening of the upcoming #ONEPIECE episodes at Toei’s new animation studio. I think the fans will really enjoy them. However, it seems Sensei is pretty miffed about the new late-night timeslot…”

Clearly, this animator, who has alreadyseen the upcoming episodes, thinks they’re great, which is definitely great. The fans can tell the quality is still as good as before the break, if not even better. One Piece’sanimation has never been as good as it has been recently.

This animator also mentions that a certain sensei is not too happy aboutOne Piece’stime slot change, which made the show switch from a morning slot, to a late-night one. Some people think he is talking about Oda, but he is probably actually talking about someone involved in the production. Although, it still remains unclear.
