Warning: This article contains MAJOR SPOILERS for the main story of Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail.Four days beforeFinal Fantasy 14Patch 7.2 went live, Square Enix gave players a look at the preliminary patch notes for the Seekers of Eternity update. Along with the expected main story and raid content, the newFinal Fantasy 14update will upgrade the textures of various zones and glamours and add some quality-of-life changes.
Final Fantasy 14Patch 7.2, Seekers of Eternity, will pick up where the Crossroads update left off, as the Warrior of Light and their allies uncover the secrets behind Queen Sphene’s sudden return from her supposed demise at the end ofDawntrail. The story will take players to the Underkeep dungeon and the Recollection trial, eachheavily influenced byFinal Fantasy 9. Along with the ongoing main story quests,Final Fantasy 14raid squads can challenge the Arcadion’s Cruiserweight Tier once Patch 7.2 goes live on Tuesday, March 25. However,Final Fantasy 14will undergo 24-hour maintenance starting Monday, March 24, at 6:00 AM Eastern.
The Seekers of Eternity update will also add some cosmetic changes forFinal Fantasy 14players to enjoy. Job-specific weapons and armor fromA Realm Rebornwill get updated textures as part ofDawntrail’s ongoing graphics overhaul. The relic weaponsfrom theShadowbringersexpansionwill also receive a second dye channel, giving players more options to customize their favorite appearances. SpecificFinal Fantasy 14Online Store glamours, including Lyse’s Leadership Attire, will receive two dye channels and a texture makeover. Several older zones inFinal Fantasy 14will also get additional touch-ups, as grass and shadow textures and polygons will be updated. An additional Fantasia potion will be granted to players in Patch 7.2 by speaking to the same Moogle NPC in Gridania that previously distributed a Fantasia.
Final Fantasy 14’s upcoming patch will also address a lingering concern. Account ID information will be reset followingnews of a dangerous mod called PlayerScopethat was used to track and harass players by accessing client-side data. Due to the changes,Final Fantasy 14players' blacklists and mute lists will be affected and will show an error that states that character names are unable to be retrieved from the lists. Players can reorganize their lists to correct any outstanding entries.
The Job changes planned for Patch 7.2, includinga nerf to the Pictomancer, will be listed during server maintenance. What further changes and surprises awaitFinal Fantasy 14players in Seekers of Eternity remains to be seen.
Quests
New main scenario quests have been added.
Chronicles of a New Era quests (The Arcadion) have been added.
A new sidequest (The Cornservant) has been added.
It will now be possible to perform repairs and access weather forecasts while playing New Game Plus.
Housing
SSAO can now be disabled for indoor furnishings.
A warning message will now display on the screen when entering the garden of an estate scheduled for auto-demolition.

A new dungeon, the Underkeep, has been added.
After beginning a boss encounter in any dungeon introduced prior to Patch 7.0, the shortcut warp will take players to the boss area’s entrance.
Hells' Kier (Unreal) has been added.
The drop rate for the Wings of Ruin and Wings of Resolve has been increased.
The new raid dungeon AAC Cruiserweight Tier (Savage) has been added.

Players will now receive the power of the Echo in the event all party members are incapacitated during the following trials:

Bonus experience points received upon completing the following duties in Duty Roulette: Alliance Raids has been increased:
When speaking with Uah’shepya in Solution Nine (X:8.7 Y:13.5), the position of Clouddark Demimateria II in the list of items sold under Sublime Curiosities has been changed.
