The March 2025 update also includes new rewards, cosmetics, and a brand-new boss fight, following on fromFinal Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis’ successful 1st anniversary last year.
Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisisis developed by Applibot and Square Enix, which launched back in September 2023. The mobile gacha game exists in the spin-off series connected to the iconic 1997Final Fantasy 7. Last year, before the anniversary celebrations,Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisishosted a crossover with Capcom’sMonster Hunterseries, which showcased Cloud Strife and his party battling against the Rathalos, a large wyvern and staple creature from the franchise. Now,Final Fantasyfans have a new boss battle to look forward to.
Previously announced back in February 2025,Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis’ 1.5-Year Anniversary update includes a host of goodies for players, including new Draw tickets, a new weapon for Cloud, daily “Free 10 Draws,” a special battle tower, and much more. The event began on March 6 and will run until May 4, giving fans plenty of time to accumulate special Login Bonuses and obtain a Gear Voucher as a gift.EachFinal Fantasy 7: Ever Crisischaracter has a healthy arsenal of weapons, many of which will be useful when facing the new Odin Escalation Challenge as part of the anniversary update.

Additionally, fans can take advantage of the Sephiroth Limit Break Draw, which offers the chance to acquire the Exclusive Gear, Cape of the Worthy, through the Stamp Card.Final Fantasy 7: Ever Crisisdid a stellar job at fleshing out Sephiroth’s backstory, and now players can obtain these unmissable rewards from the silver-haired soldier.
After the game’s first anniversary, producerShoichi Ichikawa revealedFinal Fantasy 7: Ever Crisis’ most challenging aspectwas adding the Guild system, and acknowledged the gacha was designed for newcomers to theFinal Fantasyfranchise, while also tailoring some narrative, like Sephiroth’s backstory, towards veteran fans. Alongside the game’s anniversary event, players can also indulge in the Season Pass Treasure Hunt Season 19, running until July 25, 2025, which includes the addition of Mythril Ore x60.
