Forgotten Temple Walkthrough (Soulstone Locations)
As soon as the mission starts, head straight and interact with theCorner Leading to the Abandoned Plains(Blade Nexus). You willreach a splitand can head right to encounter a few enemies along with theVitality Tome. Head back to the split andtake the left paththis time, being mindful of the undead archer above.
Soulstone #1 in Forgotten Temple
Follow this path, dealing with any undead enemies you encounter, andstop when you reach another split. The path on the right leads to the temple entrance, but first,break the wooden barricades on the left to find your first Soulstone. Head back and take the right path, continue straight, and interact with the door to open it, revealing theForgotten Temple Entrance(Blade Nexus).
Head up the stairs, where you will have yourfirst encounter with the DragonkininThe First Berserker: Khazan. Deal with the ones worshipping the remains of another Dragonkin.
Soulstone #2 in Forgotten Temple
Before heading up the stairs,go right and deal with the two enemies. In the far corner, you will find thesecond Soulstone. Head up the stairs, andto the far right, there will be an open gate leading to theBard, a merchant selling a variety of potions.
He also sells thePrimeval Regression Orbfor 10,000 Gold, which allows you torespec your character’s statsand use the Lacrima again.
After buying what you need, turn around, and to the left, there is asmall walkway with the Netherworld Energy Upgradefor you to pick up. Drop down, head up the stairs again, andgo straight up another set of stairs. You will encounter a few archers and aLunatic Destroyerahead, after which you will reach the boss gate, which is locked for now.Head left and immediately turn right to find two archers standing near a leverthat opens one half of the gate. Follow the main path now and enjoy a long elevator ride.
Interact with theBeneath theForgotten Temple(Blade Nexus) and talk toDaphrona, who has a few dialogue options and allows you tounleash the Soulstones. These grant either aHealth Recoveryincrease or aLacrimaincrease, depending on your choice. Once you are done with Daphrona, head back to the main path, where aDouble-Edge Butcherwill be waiting for you. Deal with it, and head up the stairs on your left to find interactable statues.
How to Stop the Forgotten Temple’s Spinning Mechanism In The First Berserker: Khazan
Deal with the dragonkin andinteract with the statues, adjusting them so they all face the same directionas the other statues in their line. This will raise the platform, allowing you to drop down, use theladder to climb up, andinteract with the machines to stop the first part of the spinning device. Head down the ladder, go straight, then turn right to find theDepths of the Forgotten Temple(Blade Nexus). Upgrade your stats if you have the necessary Lacrima, then head up the stairs. Follow the main path, and you will reach an area filled with dragonkin. Deal with them and loot any items you find before proceeding up the stairs.
Here, you will encounter your firstElite Enemyin the game, who is considerably stronger than any other foes you have faced so far.
Soulstone #3 in Forgotten Temple
After dealing with the Elite Enemy,move the statues so they face the ones on the wall. This will raise the platform and lower the wall statues,revealing a Soulstone. Destroy it using your Javelin, then head left tointeract with another machine, stopping the second part of the spinning device. Head down the stairs, turn right, and go left to spot the stairs leading down. You will encounter a few undead enemies that you can easily run past to reach a ladder at the very end. Follow the main path to reach thefinal machine, which stops the third part of the spinning device, shutting it down completely.
Head to the elevator, where you will fight aRevenant of Adversitythat dropsLacrima of Circulation, which you may use to summonSpirit of Advocacyto fight alongside you in boss battles. Take the elevator up and pull the lever to open the gate leading to the boss arena. Rest at theHeart of the Forgotten Temple(Blade Nexus) before taking on theboss of Mission 3.
