Midas has become integral toFortnite, and it seems not even a Lawless season can keep his golden touch away, for this iconic character has returned once more to bring forth his own set of quests in the seasonal story featured in Chapter 6 Season 2. Yet, what does Outlaw Midas want, and how can players easily complete their quests?
The Wanted: Midas Story Quests featured inFortniteChapter 6 Season 2 are relatively simple, and players who look below will be able to find an easy guide to follow that will help them complete these quests faster so that they canadd Outlaw Midasto their lockers and prepare for the next set of story quests before the season ends.
Players have until Jul 29, 2025, to complete the Story Quests in Chapter 6 Season 2.
Stage 1 of 6 – Complete a SHADOW Briefing to Earn Midas' Trust (0/1)
The first step for the Wanted: Midas quests involves players knowing how to find a SHADOW Briefing, and just how to complete it. There are set spawns for the SHADOW Briefings found in the Chapter 6 Season 2 map, but not all of them will spawn in the same round. This means that players will want to check out every SHADOW Briefing location to see if one has spawned in your map, or if you need to venture to another one. Here are some notable locations to look to:
After finding a SHADOW Briefing Board, interact with it and accept any of the challenges made available. These are quite simple to complete, as some SHADOW Briefings may just simply be to loot a Rare Chest, or a Supply Drop, or even damage a player or AI opponent with a provided weapon.
Stage 2 of 6 – Spend Bars in Black Markets to Bribe the Outlaws (0/1,000)
For the second part of the quest, players are going to need to spend Gold Bars exclusively in Black Market locations. There are 3Black Markets to be found in Chapter 6 Season 2, and here’s where to find them all:
Once at any of these Black Market locations, spend Gold Bars on weapon cases that usually cost around 600 Gold Bars or 800 Gold Bars, depending on the rarity. Simply spending 1,000 is enough to complete this stage, but if players need more Gold Bars, start doingVault Heistsor look forGolden Llamas.
Stage 3 of 6 – Open an Outlaw Chest with a Rare or Better Outlaw Keycard (0/1)
To progress this step, players are going to need to complete Outlaw Keycard Quests, which are individual to them. To start, they must have the Common Outlaw Keycard, which is acquired by completing one match of Battle Royale after the community has robbed enough vaults and cases. With the Common Outlaw Keycard, players will need to complete 10 Outlaw Keycard Quests to gain the Rare Outlaw Keycard. This might be a bit of a grind, but the quests aren’t too difficult, and the easiest 10 to complete are the 5 stages of spending Gold Bars (7,500 in total) and collecting Boons or Medallions (10 in total, easily done by dropping and equipping a Medallion multiple times).
Once the Rare Outlaw Keycard has been obtained, players can head to any of the Black Market locations, where behind the NPC inside will be a backroom that they can open with the Outlaw Keycard. From inside, there will always be a chest by the weapon cases that can be opened with a Rare Outlaw Keycard. If the chest has already been opened, simply reload into a new match and drop to the Black Market immediately.
Stage 4 of 6 – Loot the Scanner Backpack and Locate Mysterious Energy Sources (0/3)
Tofind the Scanner BackpackinFortnite, players will need to travel North of Canyon Crossing, where on the right side of Predator Peak there is a ‘!’ on the mini-map. Heading to this location, players can open a special blue chest that will automatically equip a Scanner Backpack, where they will then need to run around Predator Peak in search of three more ‘!’ symbols on the mini-map:
Stage 5 of 6 – Steal a Copy of the Mask-Making Book from the Mask Maker’s Hideout (0/1)
The Mask-Making Book can be found in the underground area of Masked Meadows, easily accessed by heading to the North building where a tunnel will lead them downstairs into an underground base. From inside, players can interact with the!on the mini-map that shows them the exact location of the Mask-Making Book, near the left corner of the Mask Maker’s Hideout.
Stage 6 of 6 – Talk to Midas About the Zero Point Shard (0/1)
Midas can be foundin the Rogue Repairs Black Market, which is North East of Masked Meadows in Rolling Blossom Farm. Midas is inside the backrooms, so be sure to open this up from within the Black Market and then head downstairs to meet the NPC himself. All players need to do for this step is talk to Outlaw Midas and go through his dialogue chain by selecting continue until the quest is completed.
