Epic Games reveals newMortal Kombatcontent available inFortnite, including the arrival of iconic fighters Scorpion, Kitana, and Raiden. Crossovers have become a major element inFortniteover the previous few years, as each chapter in a season typically includes at least a few characters representing other IPs and franchises.

Fortnitehas already seemingly made the impossible happen, bringingfirst-party characters like Kratos fromGod of Warand Master Chief fromHalointo the battle royale. Chapter 6 Season 2 has even managed to bringMortal Kombatinto the battle royale, lettingFortniteplayers unlock Sub-Zero once they get towards the end of the seasonal battle pass. However, Sub-Zero appears to only be the beginning of this crossover as Epic Games has finally revealed a wave of even moreMortal Kombatcontent coming on April 1.

As players have already discovered,Scorpion is available to purchase from theFortniteShop, letting players add to their collection. However, Epic Games is planning an even biggerMortal Kombat-infused update on April 1, including a new quest line based on the iconic franchise. In addition, Epic will be selling a “Klassic Kombat Bundle” as well, including MK3 outfits for Scoprion, Kitana, and Raiden, along with pickaxes, emotes, and back blings based on these fighters. Finally, there’s also a Lamborghini Countach + Scorpion & Sub-Zero Bundle to addMortal Kombatflair to the vehicle.

Fortnite Adds Iconic Mortal Kombat Points of Interest to the Map

Alongside the characters and new content, Epic Games will also be transforming parts of the current Battle Royale map, bringing iniconic stages fromMortal Kombat. Three new landmarks will be added on April 1 as points of interest on the map based on The Pit, The Living Forest, and The Dead Pool. Players will also find a boss version of Scorpion waiting in one of these locations during matches and if players can defeat him, they’ll earn the Mythic Scorpion’s Kombat Kit and the First Blood Medallion. As expected, these allow the wearer to throw a spear, pull an enemy in, and then perform a combo attack on them.

Speaking of crossovers, rumors continue to swirl about the next season. Recent rumors indicate thatStar WarsandFortnitemay be collaborating againstarting on May 2nd in advance of the traditional “May the Fourth” franchise holiday. It’s unknown which characters could be included in this new collaboration, but it is rumored that Season 3 could be the shortest one inFortnite’s history, lasting only 35 days.
