While borrowing a wide variety of features and mechanics from different games,FragPunkshifts the norm by introducing Shard Cards, which players can put into play to change the rules of each round.
WhileShard Cards provide game-changing effectsthat alter how each game plays out, they are not the only unique feature that achieves this. As players progress further throughFragPunk, they may encounter Relics—items that have similar game-changing effects but with a little more personality. What Are Relics (& How Do They Work) In FragPunk?
Relics are unique items that players willgain access to upon reaching Level 15and essentiallyoffer a series of unique buffsto switch up the game.Relics can be put into play during the rule-making phaseof Shard Clash and will remain in effect for the entire game. However, once players select a Relic that they want to put into play, they will be unable to change it in subsequent rounds.
Unlike Shard Cards,Relics do not require Shard Points to use, but some do have a few caveats regarding their use—meaning that players should consider their options carefully.
How To Unlock Relics In FragPunk
Unlike Shard Cards, which are unlocked through completing matches,Relics can be purchased using Gold.Gold is a currency that players can earn by completing matches and through certain events, and is completely free to earn. To purchase Relics, players will need to head to the Relic section of the Shard Card tab via the main menu. Here, players canpurchase Relics for 2,000 Gold each upon reaching Level 15.
All Relics In FragPunk
There are currentlya total of nine Relicsthat players can use inFragPunk, all of which offer their very own unique effects for players to make use of. For those looking for their next go to Relic, here is a quick breakdown of every Relic inFragPunk:
Obtain 0.5 Shard Points from round loss/death.
Oasis Guardian
Regain HP slowly when your team has played all 3 Shard Cards in a round.
Hunting Amplifier
Gain 1 Shard Point per kill, but you no longer gain Shard Points for round wins and losses.
Scales of Unity
Extra Shard Points can be earned by planting the Converter, defusing the Converter, and getting kill assists.
Pendant of Status
Allows you to lock one Shard Card. In following rounds, you can swap a Shard Card for the locked one.
Risky Ring
When your team activates no more than 1 Shard Card, your damage is increased by 10%.
Astral Card
Redraw a Shard Card of lower cost for free every round.
Draw a higher-cost Shard Card into your hand when redrawing.
Lucky Sensor
Guarantee a higher rarity Shard Card when you redraw, but increase the cost of redrawing by 2.
