FragPunkhad a popular beta phase, with players praising many aspects of the 5v5 hero shooter. However, right after its full release, fans were frustrated by the heavy monetization system, with players complaining about its 9 currencies, multiple memberships, and the challenge it posed for players who didn’t pay when trying to unlock a new character. The hotfix tackles an issue related to movement—amajor complaint amongFragPunkplayers, who felt the game was much slower than the beta version, with some even calling the new gameplay “unplayable.” The patch increases the overall speed to cater to fans who enjoyed the game before, while also optimizing the audio effects of footsteps. Moreover, Bad Guitar Studio is adjusting weapons for better balance. The “Bad Moon-S” saw a damage increase, while the sound effects of the “Burner” were optimized to make them louder.

Additionally, balance adjustments have been made forFragPunklancers, too, adjusting the detection range of one of Jaguar’s skills, the maximum blinding range of Corona’s “Hothead,” and optimizing the placement area for Nitro’s skill “The Wall.” The developer has also made Lancer Spider temporarily unavailable in Outbreak mode.

One of the standout features ofFragPunkis its Shard Card system, which allows players to change the rules of gameplay, with more than 150 different options to alter the match and make the game more dynamic. The current patch increases the required points for several cards, including Death’s Embrace, Itchy Triggers, and Eagle Eyes, and reduces them for Painful Motivation and Infernal Hounds, aiming to introduce some balance in the way players implement them.

On top of all that, Bad Guitar Studio is fixing several bugs, including visual issues where certain characters had abnormal banner animations, as well as a fix for a model display issue in Spider’s skill. Players having trouble with club challenges will be pleased to know that a fix has been implemented to allow them to complete the challenges now. WhileFragPunkcontinues to thrive, with a peak player count of 113,946, the developer is still working to improve the game experience.
