Iansan is the character featured in the Natlan chapter ofGenshin Impact’s Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail, so most players knew about her existence long before Natlan was planned. However, not many expected her to be a 4-star character, although it’s a possibility considering thefeatured character from Liyue is Ningguang, who’s also a 4-star unit. Instead, the 5-star character released along with Iansan is Varesa, a competitive eater from the Collective of Plenty, the same tribe as Iansan.
Both Varesa and Iansan will debut in version 5.5, so if you’re planning to get them both, look forward toGenshin Impact5.5 release date.
When Is Genshin Impact 5.5 Coming Out?
Genshin Impact5.5 comes out onMarch 25, 2025 (UTC-4 and earlier)orMarch 26, 2025 (UTC-3 and later). The version will kick in with the release of Varesa and Iansan, with a rerun of Xianyun. Later, the second phase will bring back Venti andXilonen inGenshin Impact.
