Summary
Recent datamining from theGenshin Impactbeta servers has revealed that the four featured 5-stars of Version 5.6 are intended to be Escoffier, Navia, Kinich, and Raiden. The schedule of upcoming Event Banners is arguably the most important information thatGenshin Impactplayers can know ahead of time, as it allows them to plan their Primogem spending accordingly. While players currently have Version 5.5 to sink their teeth into, the upcoming patch is expected to have some important reruns.
When it comes to newGenshin Impactcharacters, Version 5.6 will see the debut of Escoffier and Ifa. The former is a 5-star Cryo Polearm from Fontaine, while the latter is a 4-star Anemo Catalyst from Natlan. In terms of their ability kits, both Escoffier and Ifa are group healers, with Escoffier intended for Freeze teams while Ifa’s strengths lie in buffing Electro-Charged teams. As such,Genshin Impactplayers should expect Ororon to rerun with Ifa at some point in Version 5.6.
In terms of 5-star characters, according to HomDGCat, Version 5.6 will see the return of Navia, Kinich, and Raiden to the Event Banners. It is currently unknown who will accompany Escoffier in the first half of the update. However, if one were to examine the Spiral Abyss buffs for the first and second halves of Version 5.6, the conclusion pairs Navia with Escoffier, leaving Kinich and Raiden for the second phase.Ifa inGenshin Impactwill hopefully be paired with Kinich and Raiden, as neither Navia nor Escoffier are in particular want of an Anemo healer.
Kinich– 5-star Dendro Claymore
Raiden– 5-Star Electro Polearm
The featured 4-star characters for Version 5.6 remain a mystery, and Ororon is likely the only probable candidate to feature on the Event Banners in the upcoming patch. As for Raiden’s sudden reappearance, there is a possibility that HoYoverse is setting the stage for an InazumaChronicled Banner inGenshin Impact. Many characters from the Electro Nation are due for a rerun, such as Kokomi, Ayato, and Ayaka. Pairing them up on a Chronicled Banner makes the most sense at this point, especially ifGenshin Impactcontinues to exclusively prioritize the reruns of popular characters.
Version 5.6 notably comes with a new Act for Mondstadt’s Archon Quest, which will introduce Durin into the storyline and likely feature Dahlia as well. Durin is rumored to become a playable character at some point in the near future, whileDahlia inGenshin Impactis expected to make a playable debut in Version 5.7 (alongside Skirk). Version 5.6 is set to launch on August 02, 2025.
