Summary
RecentGenshin Impactdatamining has revealed the full lineup for Version 5.5, with the ever-popular Faruzan being paired up with Venti for the first time. While Version 5.4 can be considered a quiet patch, the next set of content updates inGenshin Impactare anything but. Version 5.5 is introducing a new zone, as well as two playable characters, with Version 5.6 expected to do the same.
Varesa and Iansan are coming toGenshin Impactin Version 5.5, with the former being Natlan’s take on the Plunge hypercarry. Despite this fact, Varesa and Xianyun may not necessarily be as synergistic as one might assume, and Varesa players are better off investing in Xilonen. Typical of recent banner trends, the developers have given players the opportunity to construct a powerful team for Varesa in Version 5.5 – provided their Primogem funds aren’t empty.
In terms of 5-star characters, the Event Banners for Version 5.5 consist of Varesa and Xianyun in the first half, while the second half is headlined by Xilonen and Venti. However, thanks to HomDGCat, players can now discover the accompanying 4-star characters for both banner phases. The first half is incredibly stacked, boasting Gaming, Chevreuse, and Iansan in the lineup. Given that Varesa’s best teams often make use of Overload,Chevreuse inGenshin Impacthas once again established herself as a desirable 4-star character.
First Half
Second Half
The second half will feature Faruzan, Yanfei, and Beidou. While Faruzan is always coveted for being a premium Anemo Support, Yanfei and Beidou are older units with less valuable Constellations. The real prize of the second half lies in the Weapon Banner, as it features two extremely powerful Signature Weapons forSupports inGenshin Impact. On the other hand, Xilonen remains one of the strongest characters to come out of Natlan, and out of the four featured 5-stars for Version 5.5, she arguably adds the most value to aGenshin Impactaccount.
Assuming players leave Version 5.5 with their Primogems intact, Version 5.6 is set to introduce Ifa andEscoffier toGenshin Impact. The former is a chef from Fontaine, while the latter is a veterinarian from the Flower-Feather Clan. Escoffier seems to have ties to Varesa, while Ifa is set to feature in the Flagship Event for Version 5.5. Details on their ability kits have begun to emerge, and all signs point towards Escoffier being a valuable Support character for Freeze teams. Version 5.6 is set to launch on Jul 01, 2025.
