Summary
Genshin Impacthas officially revealed two new artifact sets that will arrive in the upcoming Version 5.5. Artifacts are a major part of each character’s build, and every playable unit inGenshin Impactcan carry up to five different artifact pieces.
Genshin Impact’s recent Special Program has revealed tons of interesting changes that will arrive in the next update, including a new part of Natlan that will become explorable. As per usual, the main focus of this update will be on the two playable characters, Varesa and Iansan, who have already been confirmed for the first banner cycle.
Genshin Impact’s official social media accounts have revealed more details about two new artifact sets that will arrive with the release of Update 5.5. The first set is called Long Night’s Oath, and it will most likely serve as the signature set for the upcomingGenshin Impactfive-star Electro user, Varesa. The set’s bonuses revolve around Plunging Attack damage, which will apparently be Varesa’s primary source of damage.Genshin Impacthas confirmed that Varesa will be a DPS character who, just like the rest of the Natlan lineup, benefits from having other characters from the Pyro nation in her team.
Long Night’s Oath
2-piece bonus: Plunging Attack Damage is increased by 25%.
4-piece bonus: After the equipping character’s Elemental Skill, Plunging Attack, or Charged Attack hits an enemy, they will gain 1/2/2 stacks of an effect called Radiance Everlasting. This effect can be triggered once every second, and it will increase the damage of the user’s Plunging Attacks by 15% for 6 seconds. The effect is limited to 5 stacks.
Finale of the Deep Galleries
2-piece bonus: Increases Cryo damage bonus by 15%.
4-piece bonus: When the set user has 0 Elemental Energy, Normal Attack and Elemental Burst damage are increased by 60%. The effect can only be triggered by one of these attack types, and it can also be applied even if the user is not on the field, making it a valuable item foroff-field characters inGenshin Impact.
While the Long Night’s Oath set is probably designed for Varesa, it can potentially be used by other characters who rely on Plunging Attacks, such asGenshin Impact’s fan-favorite Anemo user Xiao. While this set is pretty straightforward, many fans seem confused about the 4-piece bonus effect of the Finale of the Deep Galleries set, as it can only trigger if the character has 0 Elemental Energy.
For mostcharacters inGenshin Impact, it’s almost impossible to maintain 0 Elemental Energy, with some exceptions, like the Natlan Archon Mavuika, who has a completely different energy system. However, the 2-piece effect provides a Cryo damage bonus, which is essentially useless on Mavuika since she’s a Pyro user. This has led many players to believe that the set is probably designed for a future playable unit whose kit has yet to be revealed.
