Great HuntsinMonster Hunter Wildsallow you to hunt two monsters at one time. Usually, the quests have two targets, and you can either slay or capture them. Either way, you’re bound to get more rewards from these hunts, likerare Decorations you can slot into your equipmentand weapons for extra skills. Just be warned that these quests tend to have a lower time limit and can even have fewer death limits. Just make sure you’re prepped before taking one on.
How to Unlock Great Hunts in Monster Hunter Wilds
More Rewards!
You will not start unlocking Great Hunts inMonster Hunter Wildsuntil you reach High Rankand haverolled past the credits for the main story. The Great Hunts can be created in all five biomes, but in order for you to gain access, you will first need to complete a very specific optional quest or Side Mission in each zone.
All five quests can only be accepted once you’ve reached HR 31 and feature two Tempered Monsters as the target. Down below, you can find a table with the quests in question:
Tempered Monstersare just like the regular Large Monsters but are typically more aggressive and can deal significant damage. But, as a reward for hunting them, you can get special items forforging Artian Weapons, the strongest weapons in the game (if you use the feature correctly!).

How to Start a Great Hunt in Monster Hunter Wilds
Two at Once!
The first thing to know about Great Hunts is that you’ll be able to see them through theEnvironment Overview screenwhen looking at a certain biome. This shows the current roaming monsters, the time of day, and other ongoing events. But, sometimes, you’ll spot an investigation with two monsters to hunt.
You can click on it and start the quest ASAP orsave the investigation for later. This way, you can either complete the hunt with friends or repeat the quest up to three times to earn a ton of rewards.
If you’re trying to get a Great Hunt to appear in a certain area, like the Iceshard Cliffs, for example,you can just rest and change the time of dayand then check out the Environment Overview screen again to see the new monsters that are hanging out.
