When Will Haikyu The Final Movie 2 Be Out?

The final events of the manga will be adapted into two movies. The first one was released in 2024, titledHaikyu!! The Dumpster Battle. Thesecond and final movieis titledHaikyu!! vs. The Little Giant, but, unfortunately, a release window has yet to be announced.

Fans expected that the production would drop a new trailer and more information about the movie at AnimeJapan 2025, but no news was released during the event. Recently, a spin-off anime was announced, focusing on the Fukurodani vs. Mujinazaka match in the Nationals.

Is Haikyuu’s Final Saga Too Rushed?

WhileDumpster Battlewas a box office success, many fans are displeased with the way the production team is handling the final saga of the series. The movie is too rushed and cuts out many parts of the manga, as there are too many chapters to cover.

For example, Hinata Shoyo goes to Brazil to train before the final matches, and there is a whole “Brazil arc” in the story. However, it seems that this part will not be adapted. This would be a good choice ifHaikyuuwas niche or a “mid” hit, but the series is one of themost successful sports and shonen anime of all time.

However, this may not be the end. If the movies are as successful as expected, or even more successful than expected, the production committee could greenlight a “side story” series covering the parts that have been skipped in the movies; something similar toHorimiya: The Missing Pieces.

Haikyuuis available to stream on Crunchyroll, subbed and dubbed in English.
