There aremany quests players will need to progress throughduring their time withAssassin’s Creed Shadows.In doing so, they will reveal all of their targets' true identities. Some of these quests can be quite challenging, but others are purely narrative and help build an engaging story throughthe game’s numerous chapters. There are 3 quests associated with revealing the identity of the Golden Teppo.
Players will need totalk to Imai Sokyu inSearching Sakai, loot a naval vessel for the right materials inDress for Success, and learn what they will need for a tea ceremony inThe Perfect Gift. This will lead them down the path in taking down the Golden Teppo.
Where to find Imai Sokyu in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Players willcall their mountand begin their ride to Sakai to start their hunt for the Golden Teppo. Imai Sokyu is an easy target to find. However, they are not revealed by default, and new players may not yet have a grasp on investigating in the game. Players have two options at their disposal:
Guided Exploration can be a big part of a player’s experiencewith the game, and one that should not be taken lightly. Scouts will allow players to smuggle resources, making them a valuable resource. However, they can also be used to reveal objectives on a map if players are struggling. Players can go to their map, get ready to dispatch a Scout, and select the center of Sakai to reveal their objective’s destination.
Players that wish to hang onto their scouts can reveal this location themselves by heading to the center of Sakai and holding down their aim button. This will let them see various yellow circles, but they will also see a single blue circle. This blue circle iswhere they will find Imai Sokyu.
Players will just have to follow Imai and make their way through the cutscenes to complete this quest. Be sure to remember the name you tell him, as it will come up for future exchanges. However, the game will progress to the same outcome regardless of the minor dialogue choices in these quests.
How to Acquire a Kosode in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Players will see one of their listed hints as “They are sold in southwestern Sakai” to help guide them. While players could use another scout, this would prevent them from smuggling supplies out of Sakai. Head to the southwestern part of Sakai to find some docks. While here, use the Aim button to find the blue dot marker.
They will encounter a merchant that can make them the Kosode they need. However, the merchant will say that completing this task will take them a week. This is because of the pirates nearby. If Naoe were to deal with these pirates, it would reduce the wait time from 1 week to just 1 day. After the cutscene ends, a marker will be placed on one of the nearby ships. Players can swim to this ship, or use one of the smaller vessels to reach it.
Once all of the enemies are dealt with, loot the chests to gain the silk the merchant needs. Players can then head back to land and speak with them. Here they will be presented with some dialog options for what kind of Kosode they would like to have during the tea ceremony.
The Tea Ceremony in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Players will learn all the customs for the upcoming tea ceremony during this quest. They will also need to decide on which gift to present. Head to the north side of Sakai and speak with the tea merchant. He can be found along the walkway next to the water.
This will lead players to meet Sen no Rikyu,a prominant real-world historical figure. they will need to follow and listen to what he says to understand what customs are acceptable for the tea ceremony. Players may wonderwhich tea ceremony gift to choose. A fancy teapot with gold trimming, a tea-leaf jar that has been passed through the hands of many masters, and bamboo ladle.
The gift will be well-received no matter their choice. However, players can make a save after completing this mission, then reload the previous save to have a file for each gift. This will let them see all the dialogue outcomes.
This ceremony has some great atmosphere, and players should considerupping their graphics for it. Progress through the tea ceremony; this will allow the player to speak with the guests and consider who their target is. Players that wish to make a good impression should imply the ceremony is a spiritual experience, bow at the halfway mark, andturn their bowl right twice.
At the end, players will be able to make achoice between confronting either Otama or Wakasaas the true identity of the Golden Teppo. Either option will lead the player to discover the identity of the Golden Teppo, but the wrong guess will come at the cost of the accused’s life.

How to Assassinate Wakasa in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The players' objective will now be toAssassinate Wakasa, the true identity of the Golden Teppo. Players will be able to find her overat Osaka Castle, although, they may want toget Naoe some good early game gearfirst. While players can approach this area from multiple directions, a good option is to approach from the north side so that players can grab the viewpoint at the top of the castle.
When players climb to the top of this viewpoint, they will receive a cinematic camera pan of the area. This includes where they will find their target. Wakasa can be found among the scaffolding of the incomplete structure within the castle walls. This will be easy to see during the panning screen.
Once the cinematic pan has concluded, players can use their Aim button to see the blue objective marker where Wakasa is. Players can use their Aim button along with their eagle vision to mark Wakasa if she is obstructed. Once players see Wakasa’s exact position, they should move to the opposite end of this structure and then climb to the top level. Here they will be able to get behind Wakasa and assassinate her without her noticing.
TIP Players should not just take off on their next quest, as there is still a Legendary Chest that can be opened inside the castle’s top floor. Players will first need to dispatch the 3 Samurai in the area first.
