Rangkusis the second-in-command to theKnivesveil. He is a ruthless killer who takes joy in killing his victims while asking them if they know who he is. He also has a twin brother. Rangkus inThe First Berserker: Khazanis a very versatile fighter who, quite frankly, uses his bludgeon any way he likes. He can make it into a melee weapon, a crossbow, or even a flamethrower!

How To Avoid
Multi-Shot Attack
Ragkus loads his weapon and fires arrows that slightly home in on your location.He does this three times, so it’s best to dodge each attack.
Power Stomp
The boss charges briefly before stomping the ground.Delay your Brink Guard, and if successful, you can land a few hits.
Bludgeon Combo
Rangkus strikes the player four times with his Bludgeon.The fourth hit is delayed, and Brink Guarding will break his stagger, allowing you to deal significant damage.
Chug A Drink
Rangkus takes out a drink and chugs it to restore his stamina meter.Run toward him and interrupt him quicklyto prevent the bar from fully replenishing.
Kick
This is a simple kick attack, but the boss delays it significantly. Bothdodging and guarding are effectiveoptions.
Powered Slam
Rangkus charges his weapon briefly before slamming the ground in front of you. A well-timed Perfect Guard is ideal, but if you’re unsure,it’s safer to run out of the areato avoid any risk.
Flame Shot
The boss dashes back, loads his weapon, and then shoots out a trail of fire. It’s best to dodge as soon as you see the fire setting in on the weapon.
Blazing Spin
Rangkus starts spinning around, releasing streams of fire.This should not be blocked—you must stay on the move and dodge when the fire stream is next to you.He finishes the attack with a ground slam.
Burst Attack
A simple dash back followed by a delayed attack—be ready to time your Brink Guard correctly.
Flame Bolts
The boss runs toward you while shooting multiple flaming bolts, ending the attack with a grab.Dodge both the bolts and the grab when you hear the audio cue.
3-Hit Grapple Combo
Rangkus performs a flaming horizontal strike, grapples across the room, shoots a stream of fire, and then slams his weapon on the ground.Dodge the first two attacks to avoid fire damage, then prepare a Brink Guard for the slam.
Ground Shatter
The boss spins his weapon on his head before slamming it into the ground,creating a flaming shockwave and embedding the weapon, causing a large area to erupt. Brink Guard the slam and dodge the eruption to avoid flame damage.
5-Hit Bludgeon Flames
Rangkus starts with three normal bludgeon attacks, then ignites his weapon and strikes twice, with the last hit being delayed. Guard the first three attacks, then dodge the final two.
How To Beat Rangkus In The First Berserker: Khazan
Rangkus is a challenging boss due to his unpredictable attack timing.Many of his strikes start with a delay but land instantly, making Brink Guarding difficult at first. Fortunately,several of his attacks are better dodged than blockedto avoid taking burn damage.
He adjusts his moves based on distance,but staying close is idealto prevent dealing with his ranged multi-shot and flame barrages.Dodging his ranged attacks also drains his stamina, allowing for a more aggressive approach. However, if left alone,he can restore stamina by drinking—be ready to interrupt him.
Flame plays a major role in this fight. After losing 40% of his health,most of Rangkus’ attacks will inflict burnunless you time your parries correctly.Flame Cleanse Potions are extremely useful hereand can be easily farmed byfast traveling to the Temple Entrance(Blade Nexus) inEmbars Temple. You’ll find them for sale from theBardon the second floor, right past the worshipping dragonkin. If you have aFlame Resistant Necklace or Ring, equipping them will also helpmitigate burn damage.
The attack that will likely throw you off the most isBlazing Spin. During this move, Rangkus continuously spins while releasing streams of fire in all directions.You must stay on the move for the entire duration, as getting caught even once can lead to multiple hits.Dodge when the flames get too close, but be mindful of your stamina—ensure you have enough left to guard against his finishing slam.
Regardless of your weapon choice, avoid getting greedy with extra hits. Rangkus can quickly charge a kick attack that depletes your stamina bar, leaving you vulnerable and putting your health at risk. Be sure tocraft better gear and weapons at the Blacksmithif you haven’t already.
