Tips for Beating Sunny Meadows Survival Challenge

The notion of doing 50 investigations on a map like Sunny Meadows can definitely seem incredibly daunting and terrifying. The building’s layout seems relatively simple, but the incredibly long hallways with poor lighting and countless obstacles in the way can make it feel that much more unsettling.

However, there are a few different tactics you can employ to make the experience more manageable, even on a map of this size. First, having a loadout of at least Tier 2 and Tier 3 equipment is highly recommended. If your upgrades are not quite there, consider focusing on earning more of them before taking on this challenge. The better equipped you are with the best means of evidence gathering and protection against ghost hunts, the easier the investigations will be overall.

Next, the difficulty you complete these investigations on doesn’t matter. This means thatyou can adjust your difficulty settingall the way down to’Amateur,‘which makes the conditions for your investigations more flexible and less dangerous. You’ll get more setup time before the ghost can hunt, which is essential on such a large map. Furthermore, the ghost will be less aggressive and won’t be able to change its favorite room. On top of that, sanity will drain less quickly, and medication will restore more sanity overall.

In terms of how to approach the map itself and conduct your investigations, there are different methods you’re able to try. One is to take and place all fourSound Sensorsin each “wing” of the map (east and west), on both floors, then return to the van and listen closely while preserving your sanity.

This allows you to use sound to track the ghost’s behavior, such as thrown objects or opened doors, and narrow down its possible location more quickly. The one caveat to this is that Sunny Meadows features quite a bit of ambient noise, and you will need to know how to decipher what’s ambient and what’s caused by the ghost.

Another way to employ sound as a tracking method is touse the upgraded Parabolic Microphone, which you can carry with you and check for ghost activity as you navigate the map. Whichever strategy you use, once you’ve figured out the ghost’s location, prioritize placing Crucifixes first before the rest of your equipment, as a means of protection.

Completing this challenge with friends can also make things much easier, as you may ferry in equipment more quickly, and more eyes on the ghost can help you figure out its identity faster as well.
