Endemic life refers to the small (and often cute) animals players can find inMonster Hunter Wilds. They’re nowhere near as menacing as the bigger creatures, but they can be pretty valuable for a hunter who’s looking toearn some Guild Pointswhile exploring.
Xu Yo are among the rare forms of endemic life in the Forbidden Lands, and considering how mysterious they are, the Guild has taken great interest in studying them. While they’re normally hard to find, here’s one trick players can use to find some of them.
Where to Find Xu Yo in Monster Hunter Wilds
Xu Yo are tiny critters that canoccasionally be found in the Ruins of Wyveria. They’re small, blob-like creatures that almost resemble jellyfish, but based on their name and the location where players can often find them, they’re most likely larvae ofXu Wu monsters inMH Wilds.
Ordinarily, spotting a Xu Yo out in the open is going to be rare. Apart from being hard to spot in general, they seem to only appear during specific times and seasons. small groups of Xu Yo tend to spawn ambiently inside the Xu Wu lair inArea 12 of WyveriaduringDaytime in Season of Plenty/Wyvern’s Tranquility. Like other forms of endemic life, players can catch Xu Yo using their capture net.
You can rest in any of your tents to pass time quickly. However, you’ll need to spend 300 Guild Points to do so.
Guaranteed Xu Yo Spawns
If you’d rather not deal with the random Xu Yo spawns, you can instead play or replay theAstonishing AdaptabilityOptional Quest. You can unlock this by speaking with Tasheen in Wyveria. Here, you’ll be asked to slay the Xu Wu in the region and find out what happend to Soushi, one of the Keepers in Sild.
Once you reach the Xu Wu’s lair, you should be able to spot some Xu Yo floating about. They’re small and somewhat transparent, so they’ll be a little hard to see at first. You can try heading to the lair while the Xu Wu is somewhere else, or fight the Xu Wu until it’s forced to retreat and sleep in its lair. Otherwise, justuse your Ghillie Mantleto break aggro.
A single Xu Yo gives only 1 Guild Point and not much else, though future updates forMonster Hunter Wildsmay provide a more specific use for endemic life.
