Throwing a Hunting Spear at a charging Megalodon inSea of Thievescan also stop it in its tracks before it takes a bite out of your ship and even defeat a shark in a single shot when charged up. The Hunting Spear also gets stuck inside solid surfaces such as wooden structures in the environment. Shooting the Hunting Spear from Cannons

In addition to throwing Hunting Spears, you can load them into cannons to pierce holes in other ships when fired. It also gives enemy players more work to do, as they must pull the Spear out of the hole it makes before they can begin to repair it.

Pulling the Spear out also makes a bigger hole that lets in more water, adding to the overall repair time, so shooting them from cannons can be an effective strategy in naval combat. Firing a Hunting Spear from a cannon also boosts its power, enabling you to dish out more damage and even one-shot-kill certain enemies, such as when firing at enemies on land from your ship.
