Like any good Soulslike,The First Berserker: Khazandoesn’t hold your hand when it comes to its core mechanics. Some systems are left vague or completely unexplained, andVengeance Pointsare one of them. You could easily make it through most of the game without ever realizing they exist.
However, if you take the time to understand how Vengeance Points work, they can give Khazan a noticeable power boost and make your life a lot easier in later missions. In this guide, we’ll break downhow to get Vengeance Points inThe First Berserker: Khazanand how to use them effectively.
How to Get Vengeance Points in The First Berserker: Khazan
Vengeance Points are a type of currency used to boost some of Khazan’s most powerful offensive stats, including stamina damage and overall damage output. You earn them by completing missions in the game. Most missions will reward you with 4 to 6 Vengeance Points, depending onthe mission’s length and difficulty.
However, you don’t get Vengeance Points automatically.Aftercompleting a mission, head over to any Blade Nexus and select Khazan’s Memories.Hover over the mission you just finished, and if there are Vengeance Points available, they’ll appear in gray.Once you collect them, they turn red to indicate they’ve been claimed.
you’re able to only claim Vengeance Points once from each mission. Replaying the missions won’t grant you additional Vengeance Points.
How to Use Vengeance Points in The First Berserker: Khazan
To use Vengeance Points inThe First Berserker: Khazan, you’ll first have toplay through the game until you reach The Crevice. After youdefeat the Blade Phantom, you’ll arrive at the main hub of the game, and interacting with the Blade Nexus will give you the option to select Khazan’s Memories to pick up your Vengeance Points.
The total Vengeance Points you have shows up in the top-left corner of your screen in Khazan’s Memories.
Once you’ve collected any available Vengeance Points, you may start using them to make Khazan even more powerful. From Khazan’s Memories, press R on the PC or X/Square on a controller tobring up the Upgrade Stats sub-menu.
You’ll have three options for how to allocate your Vengeance Points:
Increase Stamina DMG
Boosts the amount of stamina damage you inflict on enemies, making it easier to stagger them.
Increases the raw damage you deal with each hit.
Increase DMG Multiplier
Improves the scaling multiplier of your gear and abilities for even higher total damage output.
As you can see, each upgrade provides a massive stat boost, but the cost of upgrading increases as you level up each stat. The more you invest in a single stat, the more Vengeance Points it will require for the next level. To maximize your efficiency, it’s a good idea to check back after each mission, claim any of your uncollected Vengeance Points, and steadily upgrade whichever stat best fits your current build.
You can’t reset your Vengeance Points likehow you respec your stats. Think carefully before you commit to an upgrade.
Vengeance Points are one of the most underrated mechanics inThe First Berserker: Khazan. If you’ve been sleeping on them, now is the time to start collecting them andupgrading your stats. They can make a massive difference, especially during tougher missions and boss fights later in the game.
