Monster Hunter Wildsgoes pretty hard when it comes to customization, withplayers given plenty of control over what their Hunter and Palico look like. Partway through the first chapter, they’ll even unlock the ability to customize the appearance of their Seikret, which, for obvious reasons, may be of interest to someFinal Fantasyfans.
Although the Seikret customization options inMonster Hunter Wildsare nowhere near as in-depth as creating a Hunter or Palico, there are just enough options there for players to make their Seikret look like a Chocobo. They’ll even be able to change the name of their Seikret to “Chocobo” or “Boko” to further enforce the illusion.
How to Make a Chocobo in Monster Hunter Wilds
Before players cancustomize their Seikret, they’ll first need to complete complete Chapter 1-4: A Hunter’s Pride. After doing so, they should head back to the Windsong Village and look for a child called Nona, who can be found standing near some Seikrey. Talking to her will give them the option to change the appearance of their Seikret by changing the color of its skin and feathers, as well as a few other things.
There are a few conflicting sources when it comes tothe exact RGB color of a Chocobo, although most seem to be in agreement that it falls somewhere around 219 red, 180 green, 87 blue. Converting this to HSR gives 42 hue, 65 saturation, 60 lightness, which are the values that we’ll be using for our Seikret’s skin color.
This color is a little on the orange side, so, when it comes to its inner feathers, we’ll be cranking the saturation and brightness all the way up to 100 to give the bird its signature yellowish glow. For whatever reason, its outer feathers seem to have a green tint to them, so rather than yellow, we’re going to drop the saturation down to zero to turn them completely white.
Players can mess around with this a little to get things exactly to their liking (or potentially try out somedifferent Chocobo colors), but the above configuration should be fine for most players. The option to change the Seikret’s name is down at the bottom of the Seikret Customization menu, although players can change this from their tent at base camp if they’d prefer.
