Many were surprised when the T-1000 was announced as a guest character forMortal Kombat 1. Not because he isn’t a great fit for the title, but because the franchise has never welcomed twoguest characters from the same IPbefore. After spending a little time with him, though, franchise fans will be glad that the developers chose to make an exception just this once.

The T-1000 is a lot of fun to play as thanks to his stylish and varied move set. In particular, both the first and second T-1000 Fatalities are amazing, with each referencing multiple scenes from the secondTerminatormovie. The following guide has videos showcasing both of the T-1000’sMortal Kombat 1Fatalities, as well as instructions on how to perform them.

Those hoping to perform the T-1000’s Judgement Day Fatality will need to pressDown,Forward,Down,Front Kick(X on PlayStation, A on Xbox, or B on Switch) while standing atclose range. Doing so will cause him to appear in a semi-truck and mow the other kombatant down. As they’re stuck to the front grill, he pushes out the front windshield, climbs out, and empties an entire magazine of MP5K rounds into their chest. The truck then crashes and explodes, but the T-1000 simply reforms before walking away completely unscathed. Just like the T-1000’s second Fatility, this one is a reference tothe secondTerminatormovie, which, in addition to being subtitledJudgement Day, sees the T-1000 chase John’s dirtbike down in a stolen semi.

To perform the T-1000’s second Fatality, players will need to pressBack,Forward,Back,Back Punch(Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox, or X on Switch) while standing atclose range. If done correctly, the T-1000 will take the form of his opponent, point one of his fingers at their forehead, and then impale them with it. After that, he reverts back to his normal appearance, stabs the other kombatant through the mouth, and slices vertically down their abdomen before pulling his blades lengthways to cleave them in half. Both parts of the T-1000’s second Fatality reference the character’s kills inTerminator 2, with the first being a guard at the psychiatric ward where Sarah is being held and the second being John’s adoptive father.
