Changing the Timeline

The Testament of the Soul will players any of the major story missions that they’ve completed so far. Additionally, you’ll be able tosee the outcomes of decisions you’ve madein specific missions.

By replaying missions that lead to different outcomes, you get a chance to rewrite the timeline. Your choices determine which characters live and die, which will affect things like item rewards, character Bonds, and the outcome of the main story itself.

Players can also use the Testament of the Soul to go back in time andreturn to regions they’ve visited before.

When you change the timeline, you’ll get the opportunity toselect which outcome to use. This is useful for a number of things — by choosing a different choice, you can get all the rewards and other goodies tied to it while still maintaining your current timeline. This means that replaying missions can have zero impact on the decisions you’ve made thus far, making this system perfect for completionists.

You can replay missions as much as you want, and if you want to change the outcome of one mission, you’ll have to play through its entirety all over again. Any cutscene following the outcome of a completed mission will also be displayed in the Testament of the Soul.
