Summary

One Piecewas never properly introduced to people outside of Japan, which has definitely impacted its popularity overseas. People are less likely to get into it, because while it is very popular now, the number of episodes and chapters is very intimidating.

With WIT Studio remaking the anime, however, this could all change.

ManyOne Piecefans have been very excited about what’s to come when speaking about the remake that was announced a while back. While the original anime is still ongoing right now and won’t be done anytime soon, WIT Studio, a highly known and popular studio, will be working on a remake of the series that is only going to draw in more fans to the series.

The One Piece director working at WIT Studio, Masashi Koizuka, actually dropped a message, here’s what he had to say:

“I’m facing this as a long series. If the people like what we’ve created, we know we would be creating this in the long run. And if it does, it means this work is loved by many. I want to continue this for a long period. I want to continue this forever.” — Masashi Koizuka

One Piece is a very long serieswith, just as of right now, over 1140 chapters to adapt into anime. Any studio taking up the challenge of adapting all these chapters isn’t taking on a simple easy job. This will take years, and even decades to finish. The current anime has been ongoing for over 25 years, and will still be ongoing for more than 10, most likely. So it’s definitely reassuring to fans that WIT Studio is in this for the long run, and want this series to go on for as long as possible.

When Will WIT Studio’s The One Piece Anime Release?

While many fans are extremely excited for the upcoming Wit Studio One Piece anime adaptation, for now, no one knows when it will drop. It was announced quite a while back now, and some concept art was also revealed to fans, but a release date remains a mystery for now.
