Back to All Characters
After representing the Natlan chapter ofGenshin Impact’sTravail trailer, Iansan cemented herself as one of the most discussed and anticipated characters. However, it wouldn’t be until five years later that she finally became playable, despite being one of the very first characters shown to the public.
As a result, many are excited to pull for Iansan. Those hoping to use her on their team will want to find the following materials needed for her ascension and talent upgrades.

Where to Find All of Iansan’s Materials
Gemstones - Where to Find Vajrada Amethyst
This bright purple gem is used by all Electro characters, including Iansan. It’s found in a variety of ways, but the most reliable is to farm it from defeating bosses. These are the bosses and trounce domains that can drop Vajrada Amethyst:
*Azhdaha and the Primo Geovishap can only drop Vajrada Amethyst when infused with Electro!
Local Specialty - Where to Find Dracolite
This fascinating orange ore was added to the game in Vesion 5.5 alongside Iansan, and fittingly, can only be found near her tribe’s homeland. It appears around the Great Volcano of Tollan, and can only be harvested once broken by special methods. Players can break it using either a Tatankasaur or a member of the Collective of Plenty, such as Iansan herself, or by hitting it with Electro or Hydro attacks.
Boss Drop - How to Get Ensnaring Gaze
Iansan joins her fellow Hero of Natlan, Chasca, in using the Ensnaring Gaze to ascend. This creepy item is obtained by defeating an equally creepy boss, the Tenebrous Papilla, which resides underground in a cave near the Flower-Feather Clan.
Enemy Drop - Where to Find Tribal Warriors
Natlanese warriors love to skirmish and hone their combat skills, so they’ll attempt to challenge the Traveler anywhere and anytime. They can be found almost anywhere in Natlan, and can drop higher quality whistles the higher their own level:

Tyrant’s Fang
Talent Books - Contention
In the Blazing Ruins domain, players can earn Natlanese talent books. On Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays, they can try for the Contention series books, which Iansan uses to level up her talents.
Trounce Materials - Denial and Judgment
The only item needed for Iansan that can’t be found with the borders of Natlan is her trounce material, Denial and Judgment. This item can only be obtained by defeating The Knave inside the Scattered Ruins trounce domain in Fontaine.
This trounce domain is typically unlocked by completing Arlecchino’s Story Quest, but if players haven’t done that yet, they can attempt the challenge using the Quick Challenge mode. This is only possible starting at Adventure Rank 40, and only in solo mode.
