1Invincible (Mark Grayson)

Mark Becomes the Peaceful Emperor of the Galaxy

Through a series of hardships, seemingly to no end, Mark Grayson proved his namesake of Invincible by overpowering the tyranny that encapsulated Earth and took his rightful place as leader of a reformed and hopeful Viltrum empire. As the Emperor of Viltrum,Mark Grayson instills the best of bothworlds by teaching a new age of Viltrimites how to use their power for good and express love for the galaxy. Mark rules for untold centuries as a peacekeeper, bringing peace and prosperity to countless systems in the galaxy alongside his wife, Atom Eve, his daughter, Terra, and eventually, the son he shared with Anissa, Marky. The comic ends with Mark looking at a peaceful sky with Eve, remembering the words his father told him all those years ago…

What will you have after five hundred years?

2Atom Eve

Discovers She is Immortal and Lives Forever with Mark and Their Daughter, Terra

Samantha Eve Wilkins would continue to fight alongside Invincible, and eventually, she became Mark’s wife. Eve and Mark may have had a few issues throughout their relationship, but they always came out stronger than ever, just as Eve’s powers did the longer she developed them. Eve Grayson also discovered her immortality, as when her body would die through injuries or old age, she would be able to resurrect herself, allowing her to live as her youthful self forever alongside Mark Grayson as the Emperor and Empress of Viltrim in a happy marriage with their daughter, Terra, and her step-son, Marky.

3Omni-Man (Nolan Grayson)

Becomes the Compassionate Emperor of Viltrum, But Dies to Injuries to His Heart From Thragg

After failing to conquer Earth and fleeing his duties from Viltrum, Nolan was sentenced to execution but was saved by Allen and decided to venture into space with Allen to help him defeat the remaining pure-blooded Viltrumites. Yet, Nolan learned that he was a descendant of Argall, making him the onetrue heir to Viltrum, and thus, their new Emperor. Nolan taught the remaining Viltrumites peace and prosperity over the years, but his rule was overthrown by Grand Regent Thragg in a rematch after Nolan let Thragg live in exile. Thragg ripped Nolan in half, and while Nolan died of his injuries, he was able to say goodbye to Debbie and Mark – as a hero and a changed man for the better.

4Oliver Grayson

Betrays Mark and Eve, But Dies Protecting Their Daughter

Oliver Grayson was born on Thraxa, and as an alien from another world, he never quite fit in on Earth. Oliver, given an opportunity by Allen, left Earth to live on Talescria, the capital of the Coalition of Planets. Since Oliver was half-Thraxan, his aging was rapid, but it just meant that the more dominant DNA of a Viltrumite would come in to make him seem like a pure-blooded Viltrumite. After years of peace in Talescria, Oliver becomes a spy for Thragg, the exiled former leader of the Viltrumites, and betrays his brother by revealing where he, Eve, and their daughter lived. Enraged by Thragg’s decision to kill them, Oliver sacrifices himself to save his niece, Terra, to which Thragg impales him and kills him on the spot. Oliver may be dead, but he is survived by his wife, Haluma, and their twin children.

5Debbie Grayson

Returns to Earth to Raise Mark’s Son

Debbie Grayson reunites with Nolan after his absence and betrayal and eventually learns to love him again after she is reduced to being called his pet. The two go on to live a happy life filled with immense love for each other. After Nolan’s death, Debbie helps to raise Mark’s son, Marky, but she remains on Earth, where it’s likely that she died of old age knowing her son was out in the galaxy saving planets from war.

6Allen the Alien

Leads the Coalition of Planets Until They Are Abolished After Peace in the Galaxy is Established

As a Unopan, Allen would constantly grow stronger with each battle encounter, resulting in him being powerful enough to kill Viltrumites. After the death of the Coalition of Planets’ leader, Thaedus, Allen would become their new leader. However, Allen always had a mistrust of Viltrumites and even battled Nolan and Mark to try and bring the Scourge Virus to Earth to end their species once and for all. While Allen shares immense regret over his past actions with his friends, he serves the best interest of the Coalition of Planets, which is eventually disbanded after Mark brings peace to the galaxy, leaving Allen alive in a new peaceful age that would forever change the universe.

7Anissa

Gives Birth to Mark’s Son and is Killed by Viltrumites While Trying to Save Atom Eve

Anissa despised humans but was eventually sent to Earth at Grand Regent Thragg’s request to hide among them and raise new heirs to the Viltrum Empire after the destruction of their world. Anissa saw it as beneath her, especially when she would have to carry and care for the baby, whereas the Viltrumite men would hold no responsibility. Eventually, Anissa deemed the only man worthy of her child to be Mark, whom she sexually assaulted. Anissa’s non-consensual engagement with Mark would see her give birth to Marky, a boy who she raised with Scott Murphy, a human male that she genuinely fell in love with and would give him a daughter, named Molly. After Anissa learned human emotion, she always felt bad for what she did for Mark but never regretted their son, Marky. Sadly, Anissa was killed by Thragg’s Thraxan-Viltrumite children after saving Eve and never managed to apologize to Mark personally.

8Terra Grayson

Helps Bring Peace to the Galaxy with Her Parents, Atom Eve & Invincible

Terra is the daughter of Mark and Eve, and she would eventually develop her father’s Viltrumite powers. Terra would grow up to become a hero for the galaxy and would help the Coalition of Planets resolve numerous issues around the galaxy by solving disasters and conflicts. Even after centuries with her parents, Terra continued to love them and spend time with them and was last seen in the paradise home of the Graysons with the galaxy at peace.

9Marky Grayson

Became Kid-Invincible, and Confronted Mark for Abandoning Him on Earth

Marky Grayson was the son of Anissa and Invincible, conceived after Anissa sexually assaulted Mark. Marky was left on Earth after Robot was defeated and became Kid-Invincible to protect his planet with the guidance of his stepfather and his grandmother, Debbie Grayson. Marky would grow up to hold a lot of hatred for the way he was conceived, and hatred for his father for abandoning him on Earth while Mark and Eve raised Terra as their one and only child. Yet, after a fight, Mark and Marky reconciled and their relationship as father and son would grow stronger with something they have an infinite amount of: time.

Last Appearance: Invincible #60 (March, 2009)

Despite always coming off as cocky, arrogant, and selfish, Rex Splode proved just how much of a hero he could be during the Invincible War, where evil versions of Mark Grayson were sent to conquer Earth by Angstrom Levy. Rex detonated his entire skeleton to explode himself and an evil Mark, turning himself into a bomb so that both of them would die. Rex’s tragic death is the end of his life, but his memory lives on in Eve and his name lives on in Rudy, who now goes by the name, Rex.
