Summary

SomeIsekai mangaseries have been going around for quite some time, such is the case of titles likeGATEorMushoku Tensei. But there are hiddenjewels of the Isekai genrethat qualify as breathtaking just fortheir art, and are worth a read for those who enjoy losing themselves in the details or incredible panoramic views.

This list spotlights Isekai Manga, which will shock readers with its stunningly beautiful art. From a lesser-known recreation of a classic myth, to a series where one of the most skillful mangakas is working in what seems to be its finest job to date.

6Olimpos

Short But Incredible Piece Of Artwork

The myth of the Rapture of Ganymede is re-imagined in this Isekai Manga made by Aki (also known as Moeko), author of Hanamatsuri. This short but incredibly stunning series narrates the story of how the Gods captured the youngest prince of Troy to serve their selfish purposes. Ganymede wakes up in a world of incredible beauty, eternal flower fields, anddangerous beings struggling to controlhis every breath.

In an intense and superb demonstration of art prowess, Aki proves that she has reached a level of artwork only a few mangakas have ever accomplished. Sadly, there are only a few works of this author to enjoy, but Olimpos is surely one of the finest samples of her enormous talent.

5Loner Life In Another World

Goofy Main Character But Sick Art

The story of how a NEET rescues his entire Class from an Isekai world trap wouldn’t be the same if not for the incredible artwork made by Bibi. A series that began as short weekly strips but quickly evolved into a full-fledged manga as it gained momentum, and it was mostly due to its incredible character designs and thrilling story of adventure and great comedic relief.

Readers will find inLoner Life In Another Worldsome of the finest combat scenes drawn with magnificent precision and high attention to detail. The character designs are a little bit generic, but some like Angelica and Touka are quite well-made. Seems like the artist paid special attention to the heroines in this story, and that’s alright.

4Ascendance Of A Bookworm

Its Cozy Character Designs And High Level Of Detail Are On Another Level

Ascendance of a Bookwormis mostly known by its anime series, but the truth is that the Manga is also on a whole new level of art and design. In its first volumes (designed by Suzuka), its character lines are fluid, and their expressions are vivid. Every scene is a remembrance of the golden age of Shounen/Shojo Manga, but with a stylish and modern take.

After Volume 20, the art direction was handled by Ryo Nanimo, who did a splendid job at preserving the overall quality of the series throughout 8 more volumes. One of the reasonswhy this series re-defined the Isekai genreis its incredible artwork.

3Reincarnated As A Dragon Hatchling

The Cover Artist And Magaka Are The Core Of This Series

Writen by Nekoko, this story about a modern person reincarnating in another world as a Dragon Hatchling is a whacky adventurefilled to the brim with memorable charactersand lots of stunningly beautiful art. NAJI Yanagida is the cover designer for this serialization, and the covers are simply magnificent.

But the ‘pièce de résistance’ lies in the interior of each volume of this series, with incredible creature designs and world-building made by the hands of RIO, a mangaka who is lesser known but skilled enough to have nothing to envy from the greatest of their craft.

2The Faraway Paladin

Great Scenarios And Worldbuilding

The Faraway Paladinhas become notorious in the past years due to the release of its animated series, but it was way before that the world inspired in Tolkien’s Imaginarium came to life by the hands of Yanagino Kanata and Okuhashi Mutsumi. Both of them are talented at their crafts, but Okuhashi is a master at world-building and scenario design.

The panoramic views and high level of detail of the environments inthis manga are simply magnificent. It’s hard to believe that it took so long for it to gain enough momentum to get its anime. Now, fans are already eagerly awaiting season 3, and they have a good excuse to immerse themselves in this fantastical world by re-visiting this gorgeous manga.

1I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince So I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability

Gorgeous, A Masterpiece Of Character And World Design

One of the best things this series has is its breathtaking art, made by Yōsuke Kokuzawa, one of the most proficient manga artists of the past decades. His attention to detail, character designs, and background designs are simply magnificent. In a series where magic experimentation leads to a young reincarnated kid creating the most brutal of magic effects, an art direction that reflects the marvels (and horrors) of magic is a must.

At that, Kokuzawa is a masterful artist who has created some of the most perfect representations of magical power in a bidimensional production. And the world background design is never a half step behind, since this mangaka is also a beast creating fantastical worlds, creatures, and basically anything that expresses the wonders of a fantastical world.
