Summary
There’s a lot of excitement for Lady Gaga’s role inWednesdayseason 2, and fans are curious aboutwhat character the talented singer will play on the sarcastic, comedic, and uniqueNetflixshow. During a March 25th, 2025 appearance onThe Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Jenna Ortega shared what it was like filming with the star.
Ortega explained that when she arrived on the Dublin, Ireland set, she saw several trucks along with a walkway that was set up between Lady Gaga’s trailer and tents. She said:
“I went to my tent to hang out and they replaced my dirty tent with like brand-new tents… I had a barber’s chair, they gave me fancy water, everything, we like really did it up for her, guys. We really wanted to impress her.”
This is a fun anecdote, especially since viewers have been socurious about Lady Gaga’s Nevermore Academy appearance. While Ortega didn’t share any Lady Gaga character details, she did call the singer “sweet” and “humble” and described her as “just a normal person.” It sounds like they got along well while filming asLady Gaga said she had “an amazing time” with Ortega. On March 13th, 2025, Ortega said during anEntertainment Tonightinterview that Lady Gaga was “great” and her character was not “what people expect her to be.” Although she didn’t share details then, either, it’s definitely intriguing to hear that. Perhaps Lady Gaga is playing a villain who visits Nevermore Academy briefly or even a long-lost member of the Addams Family.
Wednesdayseason 1 revolved aroundthe villain the Hyde Monstercausing destruction at Nevermore Academy and the nearby small town of Jericho, and season 2 will featurea mysterious plotline about Wednesday Addams’s stalker. There is a lot to look forward to inWednesdayseason 2, includingMorticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones) wearing a red dressand anepisode inspired by slasher movies. It will be interesting to see who Lady Gaga plays, along with whether Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) is a villain this time around or if he and Wednesday work together.
Besides praising Lady Gaga and sharing that the cast and crew wanted to impress her while filmingWednesdayseason 2, Ortega also talked during herThe Late Show with Stephen Colbertappearance about wearing a dress made from glass. She said she was “uncomfortable and extremely comfortable at the same time.” Ortega’s sense of humor is just one reason why she does an impressive job as Wednesday Addams, a character who doesn’t attempt to be funny but who makes viewers laugh with her takedowns of her Nevermore Academy classmates and her observations on the world around her. Fans look forward to seeing the beloved and bleak character crack more jokes inWednesdayseason 2, which will hopefully be as funny as it is dark.
Ortega fans can watch the actress next alongside Paul Rudd inthe A24 horror comedyDeath of a Unicorn, which will arrive in theaters on March 28th, 2025.Wednesdayseason 2 will also premiere on Netflix in 2025, although the release date hasn’t been shared at this time.
