KonoSuba is based on the light novel series written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima. It began serialization in December 2012 and ended in May 2020. Due to its popularity,KonoSuba has received a manga adaptationas well. It began serialization in September 2014, and so far, it has released 20 volumes. As a series, KonoSuba has sold millions of copies, which is a testament to its popularity.
The anime adaptation of KonoSuba began airing in July 2016. The second season premiered in January 2017, and it continued until March 2017. Unlike the first and second seasons that were produced by Studio Deen, the third was animated by Drive. KonoSuba’s third season was released in 2024, and it was praised by the fans. Staff officially confirmed that KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson was in development. The main cast and staff reprised their respective roles for the film. KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! Legend of Crimson was eventually released in 2019.
KonoSuba has also been the recipient of video games, and almost all of them have favorable scores. According to rumors, KonoSuba has already greenlit the fourth season of the anime. Additionally,the anime might also announce new projectsbased on the spin-offs.
