Summary

Jagex has confirmed thatOld School RuneScape’s Sailing Alpha begins on March 20, giving players their first-ever taste of a new skill in the game. HardcoreOld School RuneScapefans were able to test Sailing at the recent RuneFest convention, but it will soon be widely available for players to test.

Old School RuneScapeplayers voted to add the first-ever new skillto the game in late 2022, and ever since, Jagex has been hard at work refining Sailing to make it fit into the game in the most natural way possible. For years,Old School RuneScapefans had resisted the idea of a new skill, so it’s a massive moment for the game that it’s finally happening. That only makes it even more essential that Jagex gets it right, hence the long development cycle.
